Technical Product Owner – Auro Door Location: London Liverpool Street At Auro Door, we’re rethinking fire safety from the ground up. We’ve built the UK’s first smart fire doorset system – combining IoT sensors, cloud technology, and real-time compliance monitoring to transform how buildings stay safe. We’re scaling fast, and now we need a Technical Product Owner to drive delivery across multiple projects — from greenfield platforms to feature enhancements that will define the future of compliance tech. This is a unique opportunity to own product delivery processes, shape how we build, and work directly with our Head of Engineering, UX Designer, and 8 developers in a fast-moving, high-impact environment. The Role You’ll sit at the centre of our product development, turning complex business and regulatory needs into clear, actionable work for the dev team. As the Technical Product Owner, you’ll balance strategic priorities with day-to-day backlog decisions, making sure every sprint delivers value and momentum. Key Responsibilities Product Ownership • Own and manage product backlogs across multiple concurrent projects., • Define sprint goals, prioritise features, and maintain development flow., • Make tactical product decisions to unblock progress and hit delivery milestones., • Validate delivered features against user needs and compliance requirements. Business Analysis & Documentation • Gather and translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specs., • Map processes, integrations, and edge cases for clarity., • Maintain requirements traceability and change control., • Build structured frameworks for capturing and prioritising new ideas. Stakeholder & Team Collaboration • Act as the primary bridge between stakeholders and engineering., • Align business priorities with technical feasibility alongside the Head of Engineering., • Work with UX to ensure user-centred design is embedded into delivery., • Keep stakeholders engaged and informed through clear, regular updates. Process & Delivery • Establish product delivery processes from the ground up., • Maintain product roadmaps and release timelines., • Implement templates and documentation that scale with growth., • Drive continuous improvement in how we plan, build, and release. What You’ll Bring • 3+ years’ experience as a Product Owner, Technical BA, or hybrid role in a software environment., • Proven track record owning backlogs and working with Agile/Kanban teams., • Strong requirements documentation (Jira, Confluence, or similar)., • Excellent stakeholder management across multiple projects., • Analytical mindset — able to break down complexity into clarity., • Clear communicator with a collaborative, decisive style. Nice to Have: • SaaS or platform development experience., • API integration, data flow, or SQL familiarity., • Cloud knowledge (especially Azure)., • Experience in startups or scale-ups., • UX/UI principles and user-centred design thinking.
