Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – SEMH school Colchester, Essex Full-Time | Term-Time Only Competitive Daily Rate Temp to perm style Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistant to work at one of our SEMH schools in Colchester! The school supports boys aged 10–16 with a range of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a safe, supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve both socially and academically without limits. The Role: • Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs., • Supporting students to engage positively with learning and develop emotional regulation skills., • Building strong, consistent relationships to help pupils feel safe, supported, and motivated., • Assisting teachers in delivering a flexible and personalised curriculum tailored to individual needs., • Encouraging pupils to make positive choices, build confidence, and develop independence. The school offers a highly personalised approach to education alongside therapeutic support and unique opportunities that help pupils progress both emotionally and academically. The Ideal Candidate: • Has experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, behaviour, care, or youth work backgrounds.
