Job Description OMB NO: 1625-0120 Expiration Date: 01/30/2025 Announcement: 6713 Opening Date: 09 April 2026 Pay Plan/Series/Pay Band: NA-3502-03 Closing Date: Until Filled Work Schedule: Intermittent (0-19 hours/week) Position: Guest House Attendant Salary: $18.83/hour Who May Apply: All Sources Location: Baltimore, MD MWR Baltimore Gym DUTIES: Cleans lodging guest units, corridors, facilities, and other assigned lodging areas. Sweeps, mops, using brooms, mops, lightweight vacuum cleaners, and lightweight floor scrubbers and buffers. Dusts and shampoos furniture. Cleans and sanitizes guest room appliances, cooking utensils, and dishes. Empties wastebaskets. Polishes knobs and other metal fixtures. Washes walls, windows, and blinds that can be reached unassisted or using stepping stools. Makes beds and changes linen. Collect soiled linen and deliver it to the pickup point. Receives clean linen and delivers it to the designated location. Update the room status, occupancy, and checkouts, and submit them to your supervisor for inspection. Cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls. Cleans mirrors, sinks, and water fountains. Dusts ledges, woodwork, and furniture. Replaces deodorizers, toilet tissues, hand towels, soap, and other complementary sundry items. Notes the condition of facilities and reports to the supervisor broken windows, water leaks, clogged drains, and other conditions requiring maintenance. Maintains a stock of cleaning materials and equipment needed for work. Advises the supervisor when additional materials are needed or when equipment requires repair or replacement. Clean the public areas (bathroom, lobby, corridors, lounges, and stairways), guestrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry facilities. All units, occupied or unoccupied, must be cleaned to the same standards and using the same procedures. Replenishes linen rooms upon delivery of clean linen and standard procedures, usually twice weekly. Is responsible for daily washing, drying, folding, and storage of all towels, washcloths, bathmats, shower curtains, linens, and other items, as necessary. Check rooms for articles left by guests; place these items in a bag and label them with the guest's name, unit #, date, and store them for up to two weeks in case the guest returns to retrieve them. Stocks and ensure the caddy provided by the company with all supplies needed for each day at the end of each shift. Make sure the golf cart is clean and in condition before and after every shift. Use the golf cart in accordance with the training and manual procedure. A personal vehicle is required to reach the Light-house units, as they are both located outside the base. Install cribs, port-a-cribs, or roll-a-ways in guestrooms as needed. Responsible for the safe storage and handling of all cleaning products. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment and observe safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to follow simple oral and written instructions and can use hand or lightweight powered cleaning tools or equipment., 2. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds., 3. Must be able to continuously stand, stoop, and reach for long periods of time and repetitive tasks., 4. Must be able to work an irregular schedule that include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays, 5. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish., 6. Must have valid driver's license. Preferred (in addition to the minimum): • Previous housekeeping/house attendant experience preferably in the hospitality industry.
