Job Description Job Title: Production Technician Job Description As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for all facets of general maintenance on a 3rd shift schedule, with potential overtime and weekend work. Training will take place over 4-6 weeks on the 1st shift before transitioning to the 3rd shift. You will be tasked with maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing plant equipment. Responsibilities • Observe all safety policies and procedures., • Drive success through the company's continuous improvement program., • Uphold the company's Code of Conduct., • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation., • Submit labor hours within the Micromain system., • Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs on plant equipment., • Perform diagnostic troubleshooting on electrical, HVAC, chillers, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC’s mechanical equipment, and perform repairs as necessary., • Follow equipment prints, sketches, and schematics when performing routine maintenance., • Tear down and overhaul equipment components such as pumps, valves, regulators, and motors., • Complete required reports and other documentation on assigned work and/or inspections., • Support the site’s overall objectives., • Be familiar with mechanical components and their relation to electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems., • Be flexible in working different shifts and weekend schedules as needed., • Work overtime as required., • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, HVAC, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems., • Experience with diagnostic troubleshooting and equipment repairs., • Knowledge of equipment prints, sketches, and schematics., • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance., • Forklift license eligibility., • Trade school maintenance program or 2-year Associate's degree., • Two to five years of related experience and/or training., • Basic computer skills preferred., • Ability to program and troubleshoot PLCs preferred. Work Environment The work environment is a production setting that is not climate-controlled, and the noise level is usually loud. Employees are regularly exposed to risks such as electrical shock and moving mechanical parts. Appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection, is required. The dress code includes jeans, steel toes, and a company shirt or t-shirt Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $33.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
