About the department Bassett Medical Center's Medical Inpatient units are on the 2nd and 3rd floors and are sister units, with like patient populations and workflows. The 3rd floor has a 34-bed unit, and the 2nd floor has a 24-bed unit. Our diverse patient population includes many medical diagnoses from oncology to respiratory failure to cardiac issues. Patients range from observation status, to acutely ill or those on comfort care for end of life. Our Nursing Care/Magnet care delivery model is focused on empirical outcomes through transformational leadership, structural empowerment, exemplary professional practice, and new knowledge, innovations & improvements. The Medical Inpatient units are consistently hiring for Registered Nurses with various shift and position types available. What you'll do The Registered Professional Nurse (RN), Acute Care in the Medical Inpatient units is accountable for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process. The RN assesses, plans, delivers, coordinates, integrates, and evaluates nursing care related to patient’s needs. The RN contributes to the support of patients through interdisciplinary teamwork. Education: 2 year / Associate Degree in Nursing, required or... Vocational / Technical Diploma Professional Nursing Program, required or... 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred All RN’s hired and do not currently hold a BSN will be expected to demonstrate enrollment in a bachelor’s prepared nursing program within 4 years of hire. BSN must be completed within 10 years. RN’s licensed on or before 12/19/17 are/remain exempt from this requirement. Experience: New graduate or less than one year of experience as a Registered Nurse, required License/ Certification: NYS licensure as Registered Nurse or valid interim permit, required BLS certification will be required within 6 months Other certifications may be needed based on department requirements

What you'll do: • Report directly to your regional director and culinary director, and effectively communicate with them regarding team and restaurant needs, • Impeccable understanding of your restaurants' financial results and motivate your team to constantly go above and beyond, • Target the areas of excess cost; work with Maman office team to maximize profitability without compromising guest experience, • Make decisions based on ensuring happiness for the guests, the team and the company while maximizing profitability, • Lead a team of front of house and back of house staff {approx. 25 people}, • 75% of your time spent on the floor completing tasks that your team completes, and 25% of your time will be spent on scheduling, ordering, inventory and emailing and reporting with the back office team, • Review daily time punches on Harri; address time clock abuse via coaching and/or documentation, • Work with the Maman office team towards the development and implementation of new SOPs, menu launches, marketing initiatives, events, training etc., • Follow performance review documents provided by Regional Directors and lead monthly performance reviews for all team members, • Identify and share staffing needs with Regional Directors, • Ensure all new hires are fully onboarded in Harri prior to coming in for their first training shift, • Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to Maman's recipes, portioning, and plating standards, • Take ownership of the cafe spaces aesthetics, • Ensure return visitors and foster relationships with regulars through warm hospitality and impeccable service; develop one-on-one rapport with returning guests, • Investigate and resolve any guest concerns What we're looking for: • You have minimum 3 years leadership experience, • You take complete ownership of your team, restaurant and everything needed to provide the best experience to customers, • You have a good instinct of knowing what problems to solve on your own, and which ones need to be escalated, • You ensure food and safety at all times, and own a valid food handler's certificate, • Work a flexible schedule that will include weekends, holidays, special events, and or occasional emergencies as needed, • Hospitality is your passion, you make a point of keeping up with the latest industry trends, • You make people feel good---your team and guests alike.
