Job Description Job Title: Concrete Worker Job Description The Concrete Worker is a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing daily field operations while actively participating in the work. This role ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate is a skilled tradesperson who can lead crews, communicate clearly, and solve problems in real time. Responsibilities • Lead and work alongside field crews on installation, maintenance, repair, or construction tasks., • Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work meets project specifications., • Train and mentor crew members to maintain high performance and safety standards., • Serve as the on-site point of contact for project managers, clients, and subcontractors., • Interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications., • Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and used properly., • Track daily progress, document work performed, and report updates to management., • Identify issues or delays and implement practical solutions to keep projects on schedule., • Enforce safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times., • Conduct daily safety briefings and inspections., • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment., • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets standards and client expectations., • Address deficiencies promptly and professionally., • 3–5 years of experience in concrete repair., • Prior leadership or crew-lead experience., • Strong hands-on technical skills relevant to service lines., • Ability to read and interpret plans, schematics, and work orders., • Experience in construction, concrete, repair, structural repair., • Foreman/Lead experience. Join a team of nine other field laborers. The dress code includes construction work clothes and steel toe boots. Work hours are from 7am to 4pm, starting at either the shop or the jobsite depending on the project. Tools such as tool belt, hammer, tape, speed square, and chalk line will be used, with power tools provided. PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and high visibility attire, will be provided by the client. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Madison, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $44.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
