Job DescriptionAerotek is hiring Mechanical Assembler Job Description As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling, adjusting, and aligning mechanical components for the erection of lifting equipment. Your expertise will contribute to the successful operation and assembly of our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards. Responsibilities • Assemble, adjust, and align mechanical components for lifting equipment., • Perform occasional welding of fabricated parts using FCAW and SAW processes., • Read and interpret manufacturing plans or blueprints in both imperial and metric systems., • Proficiency in assembly and mechanical tasks., • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics., • Experience as an industrial mechanic, electromechanical assembler, auto or heavy-duty mechanic, military machinery technician, or machinist., • Successful completion of welding tests (ASME code certifications are a plus)., • Lift and overhead crane operation certification., • Hands-on experience with hand and pneumatic tools, including welding equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, Illinois. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
