Purpose of Your Work: As After-Hours Dispatch Manger working within Freight Exchange (one of our entities), you will be responsible for managing and coordinating trucking operations outside of normal business hours. This role ensures that drivers, customers, and internal teams receive support during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The dispatcher serves as the main point of contact for all after-hours issues, including load assignments, driver support, emergency situations, and communication with customers. How You Make a Difference Everyday: • Monitor and manage ongoing shipments during after-hours, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery., • Provide real-time support to drivers for directions, breakdowns, accidents, weather delays, and other emergencies., • Reassign or adjust loads as needed to cover last-minute changes, cancellations, or no-shows., • Communicate proactively with customers regarding shipment status, delays, and updates., • Coordinate with repair vendors, tow services, or roadside assistance when equipment issues occur., • Enter and update load information into Transportation Management System (TMS) or dispatch software., • Escalate urgent issues to management when necessary., • Maintain accurate records of after-hours calls, incidents, and actions taken., • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, Hours-of-Service (HOS) rules, and company safety policies You’ve Got This? • Prior dispatching or trucking/logistics experience preferred., • Bilingual preferred (English-Spanish), • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours-of-Service rules., • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure., • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)., • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and adapt., • Proficient in TMS/dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite., • Willingness to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The estimated pay range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the geographical location in which the applicant lives and/or which they will be performing the job.
