Job Description Title: Senior Project Manager Location: Philadelphia, PA Reports to: General Manager, Indego Job Type + Schedule: Full-time, Exempt, 32 hours per week, Hybrid, Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm, 18-Month Term Position Founded in 2014, Bicycle Transit Systems (BTS) is a woman-owned business with a mission to operate bike share systems that create connections in our communities and protect our planet. We operate and manage a portfolio of bike share systems across the United States, as well as a nation-wide customer service call center. Philadelphia’s bike share program, Indego, launched in 2015 and has grown to 250 stations and 2500 bikes (electric and classic), and is nationally recognized as one of the most equitable bike share programs in the country. Coordinating growth within the communities we seek to serve is fundamental to how we operate and the Indego system is set to more than double in scale in the coming years. We are currently looking for a highly strategic, collaborative, and equity-centered Senior Project Manager to lead a two-year, grant-funded initiative focused on shaping the next phase of growth and development for Indego. This project comes at a time when funding shortfalls have led to significant transportation barriers for Philadelphians, especially those in BIPOC and economically disadvantaged communities. Indego is one of the few mobility solutions positioned to respond rapidly and equitably. This project aims to expand Indego’s emerging role as a sustainable, collaborative, and equity-centered mobility option for the region. This role will serve as the project lead and coalition convener for a cross-sector effort to assess regional mobility needs, co-design equitable bike share solutions, and produce a community-informed Bike Share Mobility Playbook and long-term implementation roadmap. The person in this role will be accountable to Indego’s General Manager and will work closely with other Indego staff, consultants, and staff from the City of Philadelphia, SEPTA, and other transportation and planning partners. This is a high-impact project management role that blends strategic planning, civic engagement, research oversight, facilitation, coalition management, and grant accountability. A few of the benefits we offer: • Competitive compensation package, • Affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance options, • 401k with up to 4% employer match, • 3 weeks PTO + 7 days sick time off per year, • 4 day work week, • Free bike share memberships Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Serve as lead project manager across all project phases, ensuring timely delivery of strategic outputs., • Develop and manage project workplan, timeline, deliverables, and performance metrics., • Convene and coordinate a cross-sector planning coalition of partners and stakeholders., • Oversee the development and implementation ofworkshops, participatory design sessions, and stakeholder engagement processes., • Manage research consultants and oversee data collection, analysis, and feasibility studies., • Lead development of the Bike Share Mobility Playbook and implementation roadmap., • Manage project budget, consultant contracts, and grant compliance and reporting., • 10+ years of experience in project management, planning, transportation, public policy, or related fields., • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives., • Strong facilitation, communication, and coalition-building skills., • Experience managing consultants, budgets, and project timelines., • Commitment to equity-centered planning and community engagement., • Experience with grant-funded projects and public-sector collaboration preferred., • Philadelphia-based with proven knowledge and experience navigating city, transit, and planning networks strongly preferred., • Strategic thinking and systems-level planning., • Strong leadership and relationship management skills., • Facilitation and stakeholder engagement expertise., • Organizational and project management excellence., • This is a full-time position where you will be expected to work 32 hours per week (4 days per week, 8 hours per day). Some hours outside of this, including nights and weekends, may be required., • Ability to travel locally during the business day, with infrequent distant overnight travel., • This role requires an on-site presence in the office to address ad-hoc, in-person requests and personnel matters. Working a shift from home can be accommodated on occasion, depending on department and system needs., • This job operates in a professional office located in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers., • This role requires the ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand, understand the speech of another person, see details of objects that are less than a few feet away, stand or sit for several hours straight at a time, and bend or stoop as necessary.
