Were currently seeking a highly motivated Business Analystlocated in Portland, Oregon. Required Education: a four-year college or university with a major in public or business administration, social sciences, communications, or a related field; Required Qualifications:- • 2 + years experience with Bachelors / or 6 years plus experience without, • Advanced Excel: Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, Array formulas and complex financial modeling, • Business Process Mapping: involves documenting the sequence of activities, roles, inputs/outputs, and decision points in a process to clearly show how a business function works. Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Visio for documentation of business process models, • SQL (Structured Query Language): Writing efficient queries to extract and manipulate large datasets from relational databases. Experience with performance optimization (e.g., indexing, joins), • Programming (Python or R): Data cleaning, transformation, and statistical analysis. Libraries like pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, seaborn for Python, • Data Visualization Tools: Power BI, Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable dashboards Preferred Qualifications: • ETL Tools & Data Warehousing: Familiarity with tools like Alteryx, Talend, or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Snowflake). Understanding of data pipelines and batch processing, • Big Data Technologies (for very large datasets): Spark, Hadoop, or working within distributed environments, • Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow). Experience with KPIs like ROI, EBITDA, net profit margin,etc., • Statistical Analysis: Regression analysis, forecasting, and hypothesis testing. Time series analysis (common in finance), • Attention to Detail: Precision in data validation, reconciliation, and auditing, • Problem Solving: Ability to identify anomalies, root causes, and business impacts in financial data, • Data Governance & Security: Understanding of confidentiality, access control, and data lineage in financial systems, • Communication & Storytelling: Translating complex findings into clear business insights for non-technical stakeholders, • Business Intelligence: Understanding how financial trends affect strategic decisions, • Collaboration: Working closely with finance, accounting, IT, and senior management, coordinators, engineering and timekeeping Responsibilities: • Help client navigate the increasing demands of our budget process, CIP project data management and also prep our data for the transition from Oracle WA Centralized Maintenance management system into Infor IPS., • Analyze and prepare data for the Infor IPS system migration from Oracle WAM, • Assist with Capital Improvement Project (CIP) data reporting and tracking, • Support budget preparation, data cleanup, and forecasting efforts, • Develop dashboards, reports, and tools to support decision-making, • Collaborate across departments to gather and validate data, • Provide ad hoc data analysis to support project management and leadership Salary : $40.50-43.50 Bonus Pay: A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at managements discretion.
