Job Description Job Title: Fabrication Support Responsibilities • Examine and test machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning., • Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand or power tools., • Install or replace machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments, using hand or power tools., • Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment., • Apply protective materials to equipment, components, and parts to prevent defects and corrosion., • Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from workstations and other areas., • Disassemble broken or defective equipment to facilitate repair and reassemble equipment when repairs are complete., • Wash containers to remove dirt, oil, grease, and debris from painted surfaces., • Perform support duties to assist painters, blasters, or welders., • Apply protective coverings such as masking tape to articles or areas that could be damaged or stained by work processes., • Locate and remove imperfections on panels prior to painting. Treat scratched and chipped areas with proper products., • Apply paper and tape to protect unpainted surfaces and other parts while surrounding areas are spray painted., • Unmask surfaces with sandpaper, removing gloss from previous coats of paint, and sand rough spots., • After painting, remove masking tape, and clean the container., • Assemble and maintain physical structures, using hand or power tools. Essential Skills • 1+ years experience in manufacturing, construction, carpentry OR completed technical school training program., • Strong work ethic and eagerness to work., • Knowledge and experience with hand and power tools., • Ability to work in a team setting., • Adherence to schedule with critical attendance., • Ability to lift production objects up to 50lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in assembly, mechanical work, carpentry, sanding, and paint preparation., • Familiarity with industrial manufacturing processes., • Ability to perform finish and paint work, blueprint reading, fabrication, and production tasks. Work Environment You will work on the 1st shift (7am to 3:30pm Mon. - Fri.) in a non-climate controlled but very comfortable and clean environment. The dress code includes work boots and work pants (no sweatpants). Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cherry Hill, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
