Job Description Materials Control & Distribution Supervisor – Industrial Solutions Are you the one who brings order to complexity? Imagine this: a rush order drops, a truck arrives early, and a vendor quotes a new component needed for a special project. You open NetSuite, verify POs, stage the dock for safe loading/unloading, and update inventory in real time. You notify Sales and Service about availability, ensure on-time order release, and restock Profire Technicians’ trucks—all before lunch. In the afternoon, you run cycle counts, organize surplus, and—per the Production Manager’s direction—assemble, paint, and test standardized “Fuel Train” SKUs so they’re ready for deployment. Before heading out, you greet a walk-in customer, close their sale, perform an ERP truck transfer, and check on facilities, yard upkeep, pest control, the security/alarm system, and utilities like TXU, City of Odessa, and AT&T. What You’ll Tackle • Collaborate with Purchasing to keep inventory aligned with regional demand., • Lead all shipping/receiving; verify receipts/packing slips against POs; ensure precise ERP (NetSuite) entries., • Schedule and complete interval cycle counts; execute a quarterly physical inventory., • Organize surplus; maintain safe, efficient storage and clean, orderly work areas., • Maintain inventory accuracy and locations within NetSuite., • Stock technicians’ trucks and perform electronic ERP warehouse/truck transfers (local and in-state)., • Own the walk-in sales experience, from product guidance to fulfillment., • Assist the Purchaser with local vendor pricing; cultivate supplier relationships and source materials as directed., • Coordinate with Sales, Service, and Purchasing to communicate availability and delivery of materials, tools, and supplies., • Ensure on-time release of orders through accurate ERP transactions., • Maintain adequate tools and equipment inventory for warehouse operations., • As directed by the Production Manager, assemble/paint/test Fuel Train SKUs for warehouse utilization., • Solid background in shipping/receiving and end-to-end warehouse operations., • Maintenance and repair skills that support facility reliability., • Excellent communication across departments and with customers., • Experience in a manufacturing environment., • Comfort with Warehouse Management tools and ERP platforms (NetSuite preferred).
