Our core values guide the way we work with each other and with our clients.The Folder Gluer Technician is responsible for setting up and operating folder gluer machines. This role is part of our 1st shift team, running three 12-hour days. Responsibilities: • Set up and run folder/gluer equipment efficiently., • Operate and maintain knowledge of feeder, gluer systems, delivery systems, and barcode readers., • Work with both straight-line and auto-lock box production., • Read and interpret job tickets, specifications, and follow standard operating procedures., • Fine-tune equipment to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation., • Adjust, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as needed., • Inspect parts and identify when replacements are necessary., • Perform regular quality checks to maintain high standards., • Complete line clearance by cleaning assigned areas, removing product, trash, boxes, and supplies from completed orders., • Conduct routine machine maintenance, lubrication, and housekeeping in the bindery area., • Maintain familiarity with all finishing operations., • Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment., • Provide training and support to new employees and crew members., • Direct machine crew during production and downtime., • Act as a technical resource to other departments, resolving issues and answering inquiries.Qualifications:, • High school diploma or equivalent., • 5+ years of experience operating folder gluer machines., • Willingness to work overtime when required., • Strong multitasking ability., • Effective verbal and written communication skills., • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment., • Hands-on experience with machine operation, troubleshooting, and quality control., • Basic math skills with the ability to maintain production records and charts., • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements., • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility; frequently exposed to noise, dust, odors, and oils.
