Job DescriptionSchedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm Summary: The Palliative Care Aide, as part of the Supportive Care team, will provide personal care service to seriously and terminally ill participants and perform related tasks in accordance with the plan of care as assigned and delegated by the Palliative Care RN in conjunction with the IDT. The Palliative Care Aide must be a CNA who demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, plan and to provide care and service to frail elders according to assigned responsibilities and Community LIFE standards. This position involves extensive local travel with mileage reimbursement. Location: Pittsburgh region Community LIFE service area (mileage reimbursed). Areas include: McKeesport, Homestead, Wilkinsburg, Rostraver, Tarentum and Lower Burrell Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Required Licensure: Valid PA Driver’s License with a reliable vehicle. CNA license is required. Required Experience: At least one year of experience working with a frail or elderly population. Experience as a hospice or palliative aide is highly desired.
