Position Overview We are seeking a highly professional, detail-oriented, and technically skilled Operations Manager/Lead Technician to lead our day-to-day cleaning operations as we grow this business. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, meticulous work habits, and high potential who wants to help build something meaningful from the ground up. Initially, you will spend most of your time performing pressure washing services directly while establishing our service-first reputation. As customer demand increases and we add team members, this role will evolve into more of a management position, with opportunities for increased responsibility and leadership. This position requires someone who takes pride in the details - from properly maintaining equipment to ensuring every surface is thoroughly cleaned to following exact chemical mixing ratios. Key Responsibilities Customer Relations & Professional Image • Manage all customer relationships with the highest level of professionalism and responsiveness, • Communicate with customers and team members in a timely, clear, and professional manner, • Maintain a professional appearance at all times, • Ensure company vehicles and equipment always present a clean, professional image, • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback, • Pay close attention to customer requirements and specific requests to ensure complete satisfaction Operational Excellence • Operate mobile pressure washing equipment safely and efficiently, • Perform daily equipment inspections with meticulous attention to detail, identifying potential issues before they become problems, • Select proper cleaning agents and techniques for each specific project to achieve optimal results, • Accurately measure, mix, and apply cleaning chemicals according to exact manufacturer specifications and safety requirements, • Clean a variety of surfaces including residential properties, commercial properties, and fleet vehicles with thoroughness and consistency, • Follow all safety standards and equipment guidelines without exception, • Maintain company vehicles and equipment in excellent working condition, performing minor repairs and preventive maintenance as needed, • Plan and prepare thoroughly for each day's tasks and job requirements, including proper equipment selection and chemical preparation, • Arrive on time for all scheduled appointments and maintain reliable attendance, • Keep detailed, accurate records of chemical usage, equipment maintenance, job completion, and any issues encountered, • Conduct thorough final walk-throughs of completed work to ensure nothing is missed Equipment Maintenance & Technical Skills • Perform routine maintenance on pressure washing equipment, including small engines, pumps, hoses, nozzles, and related components, • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues systematically to minimize downtime and maintain productivity, • Safely handle, measure, mix, and transfer cleaning chemicals according to proper dilution ratios, SDS guidelines, and safety protocols, • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance schedules, chemical inventory, and equipment performance, • Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, inspected, stored, and secured after each use, • Identify when equipment needs professional repair and communicate issues promptly with specific details, • Follow all OSHA and manufacturer safety guidelines for chemical handling and equipment operation, • Maintain organized work areas, job sites, and storage facilities Quality & Safety • Take pride in delivering a professional, high-quality product on every job with meticulous attention to detail, • Work outdoors while maintaining safety standards, • Use proper safety equipment for each specific task, • Protect customer property and assets with careful planning and awareness - avoiding damage through attention to surroundings, • Be comfortable working with heights, climbing ladders, and operating lifts when necessary, • Properly handle and store all cleaning chemicals and materials, • Notice and address potential safety hazards proactively, • Follow procedures exactly and consistently, understanding why each step matters Growth & Leadership (as business scales) • Participate in hiring decisions for hourly technicians with owner input, • Train and mentor new team members on proper techniques, professional standards, and the importance of attention to detail, • Coordinate scheduling and job assignments as team grows, • Help establish and maintain operational procedures and quality standards, • Set the example for thoroughness, professionalism, and pride in workmanship Qualifications Required: • Minimum 3 years of experience in hands-on service work with demonstrated equipment maintenance capabilities (landscaping, lawn care, pest control, HVAC, construction, facility maintenance, or similar field), • Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance skills - must be comfortable diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing routine maintenance on small engines, pumps, and pressure washing equipment, • Experience with safe chemical handling - ability to safely measure, mix, dilute, and transfer cleaning chemicals following proper safety protocols and manufacturer specifications, • Meticulous attention to detail - proven track record of catching errors, following procedures exactly, and maintaining high quality standards, • Self-directed work ethic - able to identify what needs to be done and complete tasks thoroughly without constant supervision, • Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required for insurance purposes), • Ability to pass criminal background check, • Strong customer service skills and professional communication ability, • Pride in quality workmanship and ability to see projects through to complete finish, • Self-motivated and able to work independently once trained, • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 60 lbs), climb ladders, and work outdoors in all weather conditions, • Flexibility to work weekends, • Reliable transportation to report to work location Preferred: • Experience maintaining small engines (lawn equipment, generators, pressure washers, etc.), • Background in trades, construction, or facility maintenance, • Familiarity with chemical dilution ratios, SDS (Safety Data Sheets), and proper PPE usage, • Experience in outdoor-focused home and business services, • Familiarity with Memphis metropolitan area, • Mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to perform basic repairs, • Track record of maintaining organized work spaces and detailed records A Typical Day Might Include: • Inspecting equipment before starting the day and performing any needed maintenance, • Loading and preparing the truck with appropriate equipment and chemicals for scheduled jobs, • Traveling to customer locations throughout the Memphis area, • Performing pressure washing services on commercial or residential properties with thoroughness and professionalism, • Measuring and mixing cleaning solutions accurately for different surfaces, • Communicating with customers professionally and addressing any concerns or special requests, • Conducting final quality checks to ensure complete customer satisfaction, • Cleaning and maintaining equipment at end of day, • Completing job documentation and equipment maintenance logs with accuracy What We Offer • Starting salary of $55,000+ per year, commensurate with experience, • Opportunity to be a foundational team member of a growing professional organization, • Comprehensive paid training on all pressure washing techniques and safety protocols, • Potential for role growth and increased management responsibilities as business expands, • Clear expectations and procedures -
