Job Description Job Title: Commercial Plumber Job Description This role supports a large commercial construction project at a new Arts-focused facility, performing all phases of plumbing work from underground to rough-in and finish. You will install and connect PEX, CPVC, PVC, and cast iron piping systems, interpret blueprints, and ensure all work meets safety standards and project specifications. The position requires someone who can lead when needed, work independently or as part of a crew, and contribute to high-quality plumbing installations on a busy commercial job site. Responsibilities • Install, assemble, and repair commercial plumbing systems for a new construction project, including underground, rough-in, and finished plumbing work., • Work with PEX, CPVC, PVC, and cast iron piping, ensuring proper layout, cutting, fitting, and secure installation., • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and routing of piping systems., • Perform underground plumbing installations and tie-ins in accordance with local codes and project requirements., • Complete rough-in plumbing for multi-unit and commercial spaces, including water supply, waste, and vent lines., • Execute finish plumbing tasks such as setting fixtures, final connections, and system testing for functionality and leaks., • Lead and guide crew members when required, providing direction and support to maintain productivity and quality standards., • Collaborate effectively with other trades and team members to coordinate work and resolve on-site issues., • Work independently with minimal supervision, managing daily tasks and priorities to meet project deadlines., • Follow and enforce all applicable safety regulations and site rules, including proper use of PPE and safe operation of tools and equipment., • Use personal hand and power tools to complete daily plumbing tasks efficiently and safely., • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring materials and tools are stored safely and ready for use., • Support multi-apartment plumbing installations within the commercial project, ensuring consistent quality across units., • Proven commercial plumbing experience on new construction projects., • Hands-on experience with underground, rough-in, and finished plumbing installations., • Proficiency working with PEX, CPVC, PVC, and cast iron piping systems., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plumbing schematics., • Experience in commercial construction environments, including multi-apartment plumbing work., • Strong understanding of plumbing codes and safety regulations relevant to commercial job sites., • Capability to work independently and as part of a crew to meet project schedules., • Leadership skills to direct and support other plumbers or helpers when needed., • Ownership and competent use of personal hand and power tools required for plumbing tasks., • Experience in commercial construction plumbing, including new construction and multi-unit projects., • Experience with large-scale or multi-apartment plumbing systems., • Ability to adapt to changing site conditions and project phases, from underground through finish., • Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving plumbing installation issues., • Reliable work ethic with a focus on quality workmanship and meeting deadlines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Allentown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
