POSITION SUMMARY: With direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician B performs repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks including, but not limited to, chassis components, vehicle refuse bodies and control systems, hydraulic electrical, air brake systems, general engine work, HVAC components, suspension, drive train and steering systems. The Maintenance Technician B may also perform basic tire work, such as replacement, tire rotation, and tread depth checks. Travel is expected in this role. Compliance Technicians are expected to travel 2 weeks per month, home on the weekends. (Hotels and a generous per diem is provided). Hourly rate is $18.00, with an average of 12-15 hours of overtime per week paid at time and a half. Per Diem: $50.00 per day and it goes directly into weekly paycheck, not taxed. Qualifications • Mechanical background, experience with hand tools, and trades or industrial/commercial settings are a plus., • Physical capability: lifting 10-50lbs, kneeling, bending, handling, reaching, and standing., • Independent work ability and effective communication skills., • Basic technology knowledge for documentation., • Must be able to pass a company paid DOT physical & drug screen and possess a clean driving record.
