Job Description Job Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician Job Description This role focuses on installing, repairing, and maintaining plant machinery and equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots complex issues across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and ensures that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes. Responsibilities • Install, repair, and maintain plant machinery and industrial equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation., • Perform routine and scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems., • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions., • Repair and service industrial equipment, including electrical components, mechanical assemblies, hydraulic circuits, and pneumatic systems., • Ensure all electrical systems operate properly and comply with applicable safety codes and standards., • Install, program, and adjust electrical systems and controls, including working with PLC-controlled equipment as needed., • Read and interpret electrical prints, schematics, and technical documentation to support maintenance and repair activities., • Use the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, such as IQMS, to document preventative maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts usage accurately and in a timely manner., • Support continuous improvement by proposing and implementing recommendations that enhance equipment efficiency, improve safety, and reduce waste., • Perform minor welding and fabrication work as needed to repair or modify equipment and structures., • Work independently to prioritize tasks, respond to equipment issues, and minimize downtime., • Collaborate with other maintenance and production personnel to coordinate repairs and ensure smooth plant operations., • Maintain and properly use personal tools and equipment required to perform maintenance duties., • Strong understanding and troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems., • Industrial electrical experience, including working with higher-voltage systems such as 480-volt equipment (preferred)., • Ability to install, program, and maintain electrical systems and controls, including PLC troubleshooting and basic PLC control work., • Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, schematics, and related technical documentation., • Hands-on experience performing preventative maintenance, mechanical repairs, and maintenance on industrial equipment., • Proficiency with computer programs, including Microsoft Office and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as IQMS or SAP., • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the manufacturing and maintenance field., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks and priorities., • Capability to perform minor welding and fabrication work for equipment repair and maintenance., • Ownership and use of personal tools required to perform maintenance duties. This position is based in an industrial manufacturing facility where you work directly with plant machinery and equipment. The environment involves frequent interaction with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including higher-voltage industrial electrical equipment such as 480-volt systems. You will use an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, such as IQMS or SAP, to document maintenance activities and rely on standard productivity tools like Microsoft Office. The role requires the regular use of personal tools and may involve minor welding and fabrication tasks. Work typically includes hands-on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair activities on the production floor, following established safety procedures and codes to maintain a safe and efficient workplace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $31.00/hr.
