Gross McGinley, LLP is a well-established, prestigious Lehigh Valley law firm in center city Allentown and is currently seeking a Professional Certified Paralegal to join our growing Estates Law Group. This position is perfect for a Paralegal with at least two years of experience and has an interest in estate administration. The successful candidate must be certified and have law firm experience. In addition, qualified candidates must possess excellent technology, organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities: • Communicates professionally with clients in all interactions, • Works according to assigned work schedule. Punctual and reliable., • Has a valuable working attitude that strengthens working relationships., • Ability to work through an estate administration file from begin to end, • Prepares Notices, Certifications, Petitions, Inventories, Status Reports, Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax estimates, Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax Returns and Federal Estate Tax Returns., • Prepares estate correspondence to obtain death values, advertising of estate and estate identification number., • Compiles and organizes estate assets and liabilities. Determines order of priority to pay expenses and feasibility of paying estimated inheritance tax., • Establishes estate bank accounts and maintains estate checkbooks., • Arranges for real estate and personal property appraisals, and safe deposit box inventories., • Gathers and identifies all exhibits to be attached to Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax Return and Federal Estate Tax Return., • Gathers information to prepare decedent’s final life period income tax returns, as well as fiduciary income tax returns., • Meets with client throughout estate administration, as well as addresses questions of client throughout administration., • Prepares draft estate planning documents as requested, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Powers of Attorney/Living Wills and Trusts., • Forwards drafts of documents to clients and prepares an invoice, if requested., • Prepares correspondence to clients regarding updating estate planning documents. Qualifications: • Previous experience as an Estates paralegal, • Lackner knowledge a plus, • Ability to prioritize and multitask, • Self-Driven, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
