Job Description Hazen and Sawyer is looking for Senior Payroll Coordinator with 7+ years’ experience to join our New York City office. Why Hazen and Sawyer: • Founded in 1951 by the son of Allen Hazen (developer of the Hazen-Williams equation), we are an employee-owned company with a singular focus on "all things water.", • Our work includes planning, design, and oversight of construction of environmental infrastructure – for water, wastewater, and stormwater management., • We foster a work environment low on bureaucracy and high in creativity., • We recruit talented professionals, provide them with challenging, interesting, and creative assignments, and furnish them with the tools they need to succeed., • We currently have over 2,000 employees in 70+ offices throughout the United States, Latin America, Canada, and the UK., • Work with Payroll Manager to process 2,300 plus employee full payroll cycle, including processing of new hires and terminations, • Support employees in 70+ offices in United States, Latin America, Canada, and the UK., • Able to work in fast-past Accounting environment, • Able to handle confidential and time-sensitive information, • Responsible for state tax registration for multiple states, • Position requires working closely with Human Resources department, • Coordinate and ensure employee data maintenance for personal status changes, relocation and other payroll adjustments, • Keep track of Monthly Timesheet submittals and Paid Time Off reporting, • Prepare quarter ending Employee Turnover and Recruitment Analysis for financial reporting package., • Run ADP reports, and prepare various payroll cycle files for distributions, • Process payroll certifications for Clients as needed, • Payroll Processing during open enrollment as well as salary adjustments, • Monthly Benefit Invoice Maintenance, • Processing of pay for disability leaves, • Processing of Employee Garnishments and special withholdings, • Assist with annual Workers Compensation audit, • Assist with annual 401k Nondiscrimination Testing for purpose of 5500 Audit, • Assist with annual financial audit for payroll related records, • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed., • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) a must; Deltek Vision / VantagePoint a plus., • 7+ year payroll/accounting experience in a medium – large consulting firm (engineering, legal) preferred., • Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, and prescription plans), • Pre-tax flexible spending plans for medical, dependent care, and transportation, • Short and long-term disability, and employer paid life insurance, • Paid holidays, floating holidays, and paid time off (PTO), • Employer-contributed 401(k) plan and additional financial planning support, • Professional growth opportunities, including tuition reimbursement, in-house training, and incentives for professional registration and professional organization memberships, • Starting pay range for this position depends on skills, experience, education and geographical location
