Our Yellow Iron Diesel Mechanics perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment, primarily including yellow iron machinery, diesel heavy trucks and engines. The Technician or Mechanic is not only responsible for understanding maintenance and breakdown needs and initiating/ assigning necessary repairs, but also must be able to operate the machinery being repaired. At times, the Technician may be on call, and required to assist with emergency breakdowns. Job Description Our Waste Collection CDL Driver’s main responsibility is to safely operate a rear-loading truck, for the pick-up service of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material. Drivers transport the material to a disposal, transfer or recycle facility, and may make one or more trips throughout the shift.
