Earn $0.70 CPM plus Component pay with consistent routes, new equipment, and excellent benefits. Key Responsibilities: • Hauling bulk construction materials, i.e., lumber, pipes & beams, coils, metals, etc., • Will cover states East of the Mississippi River, Southeast & TX (generally nothing Northeast), • Equipment is 2021 or newer Kenworth & Freightliner sleeper cabs w/53’ flatbed trailers, Fridge yes can request to add a microwave., • Most tractors w/o APU but include bunk heaters, • Can accommodate driver w/manual restriction, • Load/unload done by shippers & receivers but driver is required to strap & tarp, • Driver willing to be out 2-3 weeks for first run is optimal thereafter, should be home EOW to do 36 hr. reset & 48 hrs. off (will discuss schedule alternatives if an option), • Dispatch time & schedule will vary by load – typically 11–14 hr. days, • Pets allowed with deposit, • Riders allowed with waiver, • Front Facing Cameras, • Driver can live in Manhattan, IL area , domiciled in Northern Ohio, New Orleans, Texas or Kentucky, • If living outside location of terminal, will negotiate parking truck at nearby truck stop - if paid parking is required, willing to negotiate reasonable fee or a split cost that's fair to both parties Requirements: • 2 yrs. Most travel is within 100 miles of the office but further travel could be available for those willing to do so., • Must have all necessary tools for the job including:, • Box wrenches, Allen wrenches, 12” Miter Saw, Nut Driver Set and Drill Driver Extension What’s in it for me: • This is a 1099 contractors position, • Stairlift installation compensation averages around $250-$350 and requires between 2-4 hours to install. Can be slightly more or less depending on the job. Job DescriptionDescription: Position Summary The Driver provides transportation services for program participants for a variety of activities to support training, recreation, wellness, and employability. Pick-up and drop off packages. Provide staff transportation as requested. This is a Monday-Friday, day shift schedule position however you will be required to have weekend availability to assist with transportation for field trips as needed. Essential Functions • Provide professional customer service to program participants, staff, and visitors., • Assist with safety and security functions as needed., • Maintain an organized travel schedule ensuring punctual pick-ups and deliveries., • Use navigation applications to determine best route accounting for weather, traffic, and construction., • Maintain discipline and a safe environment while driving center vehicles to maintain order, minimize distractions, and promote overall road safety., • Follow strict documentation requirements for transportation functions for logs, reports, and plans in compliance with Department of Labor, Corporate and Center guidelines, and policies., • Maintain accurate mileage records and fuel receipts., • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, schedule routine maintenance and repairs., • Drive a variety of vehicles including passenger vans, buses, cars, trucks, and cargo vehicles., • May utilize GSA vehicles to transport students to off-site learning and employment opportunities, appointments, and as needed for retrievals and other center-related needs., • Participate in department meetings and all mandated PRH and corporate training., • Utilize information systems and handle student data in strict adherence to Job Corps and Strategix policies to protect student’s personally identifiable information (PII) and reduce network security threats. High School Diploma. Valid Class B commercial driver license in state of employment with two years’ experience with passenger driving. Acceptable driving history. Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
