Job Description Since 1977, Sojourner Center has been a safe haven from domestic violence for women and their children in Arizona. Since our founding, we have transformed lives by providing shelter and support services to more than 60,000 adults and children affected by domestic violence. We provide a broad spectrum of services to victims of domestic violence, while working with professionals in the field on education, research and advocacy with the goal of ending domestic violence. Job Summary - Facilities Coordinator: Manages the Fillmore Commons apartment/campus in a manner that supports safety to all participants, staff and others. Oversees the buildings, grounds, and overall management of any facility related repairs. Responsible for record keeping of work orders, vendor contracts, and additional funding requirements. Works collaboratively with all departments throughout the agency and provides ongoing support and crisis intervention in conjunction with case managers who work with the participants residing in the Fillmore Commons Transitional Housing Program. Schedule: Monday-Friday (Some weekends and evenings as needed. On-Call.) Rate of Pay: $22.00/hour Essential Functions: • Ability to recognize and respond to impacts of domestic violence and trauma; leads by living the principles of trauma informed care. Handles daily participant relations as needed including crisis intervention. Provides ongoing advocacy and support to participants., • Ensures that Transitional Housing facilities, properties, equipment, and grounds are maintained at a high level of safety, appearance, cleanliness, and functionality., • Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders, • Supervises apartment vacancies and turnovers, fills vacancies, may collect monthly program fees, supervises facility requests, and maintains the property according to housing requirements., • Maintains records of occupancy and inventory including occupied/vacant apartments, furniture needs for new move-ins, and status reports with apartment progress and turnovers., • Ensures compliance with city, state and federal reporting and housing requirements and that compliance procedures and requirements are satisfied regarding property operations., • Ensures proper maintenance and preventative maintenance is delivered to units and arranges any needed repairs., • Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs internally or with outside vendors., • Enforces the terms of Month-to-Month rental agreements. Issues notices as needed following notification guidelines using a trauma informed approach., • Meets ongoing with Program Managers to address the needs of transitional housing participants., • Collaborating with agency leadership on budgeting for facilities needs, • 21 years of age, • Two or more years’ experience as a Leasing Agent, Property Manager or related field, working in the affordable housing sector., • Strong experience in preventive maintenance and repairs., • Ability to obtain a Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card., • Ability to work in both in-door and outside environments., • Requires the use of a computer and other standard office equipment., • Requires rotational on-call duties (evenings/weekends) and travel between work locations; workdays/hours may change, depending on needs., • Must be able to engage in a level of physical activity to lift at least 50 lbs. and safely work on ladders, roofs, and have the mobility to perform assigned tasks., • Must be able to stand, walk, and kneel for long periods of time and access and work in confined spaces such as an attic., • Must be able use hand, power, and specialty tools and equipment.
