Job DescriptionDescription: POSITION: Sales Counselor FLSA: NON-EXEMPT Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Sales Counselor to join our team at Bay 9 Holdings LLC dba Edgemere located in Dallas, Texas. The Sales Counselor will be responsible for generating leads, lead management, sales presentations, closing sales, and for meeting monthly sales expectations. The sales team member will work in close collaboration with other sales team members as a key member of a motivated sales team. Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time, hourly position with a salary of $25.00+ per hour. Responsibilities: • Maintain and/or improve upon the occupancy level and revenue production of the community in accordance with the marketing and business plans to include completing sales calls and closing sales., • Achieve individual sales goals and targets (callouts, appointments, sales, closings, etc.), • Develop and maintain relationships with and generate leads through residents, family, and professional referral sources., • Ensure that each prospect receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every prospect, maintaining solid product knowledge, and all other aspects of customer service., • Work with other sales team members and management to plan, coordinate, and implement monthly prospect and/or referral source activities and events., • Collaborate with other sales team members to develop and execute marketing plans to achieve community occupancy goals., • Maintain prospect interest and commitments through continuous follow-up., • Follow organizational procedures in lead tracking and maintain current records of all leads and prospects., • Demonstrate an expertise and knowledge of current best practices in successful upscale retirement housing sales and marketing techniques., • Represent in professional manner the organization at public and community functions and foster a positive image of the community., • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures., • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field highly preferred; associate degree with equivalent, • years’ experience will be considered., • Five years sales experience. Sales experience within a senior living environment preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: • Proven history of achieving and exceeding sales goals., • Knowledge of sales and marketing to include principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling services required. Knowledge and understanding of the senior market and various senior living products preferred., • Proven experience to include marketing strategy and tactics, sales techniques, and sales systems. Consultative selling skills highly preferred., • Effective communicator who can speak well to individuals, or to groups, makes a good first impression, and is empathetic towards others., • Exhibit and possess the drive and perseverance and be committed to going "the extra mile" to achieve sales and marketing goals., • Thorough understanding of retirement housing and referral sources preferred., • Must exhibit a high degree of initiative and creativity, good judgment, and professional ethics., • Must possess ability to work effectively as a team with organizational partners and other functional areas., • High energy, strong goal orientation and a big picture perspective., • High ethical standards and high standards of care and concern for current and future residents., • Ability to work well under stress, completing assignments accurately, working independently, and managing time effectively., • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications required and REPS lead tracking system preferred., • Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, vendors, and team members. ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: The physical activities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, sitting, walking, and standing functions. The position also often involves sedentary work where sitting is required most of the time, with occasional standing or walking. The position also is often requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Must be able to perform activities with close visual acuity, such as reading a computer screen and reading print material. The functions of this position are conducted in a temperature-controlled environment. INTELLECTUAL/EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The occupant of this position must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure. The position requires adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. This position requires the ability to deal with and find resolution to problems and maintain a productive working relationship with team members and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of others. It also requires adaptability to fluctuate between priorities daily while being responsive to needs as they arise. OSHA Category Classification: Category III: Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, and Category I tasks are not a condition of employment. The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids.
