The purpose of the Therapist is to provide clinical assessments and direct therapeutic services to children from youth up to age 23 who have experienced a traumatic event. The Therapist collaborates with other program staff and advocates as appropriate to assure that clients receive effective coordinated services. Services will be provided in an office setting as well as in schools, home and other community locations as appropriate. Therapists will use their skills to: • Perform assessments of clients referred to therapy., • Provide short-term, long-term, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based therapy modalities., • Identify the modality that will best meet the presenting needs of the child and make recommendations.
