Job Description Philadelphia’s Office of Safe Neighborhoods (OSN) prioritizes public safety within our communities, focusing on ending gun violence in our city. Our objective is to reduce and end gun violence through a comprehensive strategy that tackles the root causes and offers social services to Philadelphians in need. OSN’s social support initiatives prioritize mental health services, such as the Community Crisis Intervention Program (CCIP), through community outreach engagement. The Community Crisis Intervention Program (“CCIP”) uses credible messengers to serve as Community Crisis Outreach Workers to prevent and reduce gun violence in Philadelphia. CCIP employs proactive strategies to foster meaningful relationships in Philadelphia’s most violent neighborhoods, steering those involved in violence (or at a high risk of violence) into alternative positive choices, mediating neighborhood conflicts, and responding to neighborhood crises related to violence. OSN contracts three organizations to employ credible messengers, including the Philadelphia Anti-Drug/Anti-Violence Network (PAAN), the Institute for the Development of African American Youth (IDAAY), and Eddie’s House. The Philadelphia Anti-Drug/Anti-Violence Network (PAAN) is a non-profit agency dedicated to addressing drug abuse and violence within communities across the city. PAAN works to transform youth and adult lives through drug intervention, counseling, education, job readiness, community service, academic achievement, and various empowerment programs. About FirstHand™ The Science Center launched FirstHand in 2014 to provide equitable, high-quality STEM experiences to Philadelphia students in middle and high school. FirstHand offers a suite of free, industry-informed STEM curricula with no tests, grades, or homework through which students engage in the same hands-on tasks as professionals. Middle school students participate as a cohort and travel twice a week, during school hours, for ten weeks (20 hours) to the FirstHand lab with a school chaperone. High school students participate in 8-week(16-hour), targeted career-exposure programs called “Sprints” that are co-developed and co-delivered by STEM professionals, and students are paid achievement-based stipends. All FirstHand cohorts are 16 students or less. The Senior Director of STEM Education Initiatives oversees the administration and management of the Science Center’s STEM (“STEM” refers to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education activities, with a focus on the Science Center’s current middle school and high school programs. The Senior Director is responsible for drafting and executing the strategy for the Science Center’s STEM education initiatives, integrating insights from other programs and activities to ensure the students we serve are exposed to and prepared for future career opportunities. Job Description The Senior Scheduler/Planner functions include advanced planning, scheduling, progress measurement, change management implementation and analysis that may involve a major project or several smaller projects. A thorough understanding of policies, methods, and procedures that includes advanced Planning and Scheduling techniques, Risk Analysis, Risk Management, and support of project objectives. Provide expertise and best practice implementation in the workplace for the region with regard to the planning and scheduling discipline. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Implement Project Planning & Scheduling strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both Company and contractor roles, responsibilities and expectations., • Coordinate the development and implementation of project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) in concert with Project Lead, Project cost engineer and contractor project controls leads, and in conjunction with Project Execution Plans., • Promote and maintain the overall integration and integrity of contractor schedules within the Program suite of project schedules., • Provide interface and quality assurance to Project functional groups and contractors regarding the tracking and reporting of schedule performance., • Preparing Staffing, Engineering and Construction progress and customized reports., • Perform Critical Path Analysis., • Perform probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules and contractor schedules., • Conduct the required project schedule analysis, critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis for the project as a whole., • Analyze deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule highlighting bottlenecks / delays and propose corrective actions., • Prepare the Integrated Planning / Scheduling contribution to the Monthly Project Report and specific reports / presentations., • Analyze and highlight the overall schedule impact of any variance / change order., • Prepare resourcing plans for the overall and individual project phases, identifying any excessive peak numbers and making recommendations for peak leveling., • Ensure that schedule related from vendors, suppliers, engineering and construction contractors of projects is provided as feedback into the planning and scheduling systems., • Working closely with various disciplines in project teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the schedules produced., • Provide onsite progress measurement and verification of billing., • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. Qualifications, • A minimum of 4-6 years project controls and time/schedule management experience., • Ability to lead, coordinate & organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required., • Desire to work outside of core function and support the onsite team where needed., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • The tenacity and drive to inject value and create solutions., • Develops good working relationships with project team., • Ability to travel if required., • Expert experience level using project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P3, P5, P6), Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI., • Desirable to have scheduling experience in commercial real estate projects for the Life Science sector. Job Description The American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania (ACLU-PA) seeks a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented full-time Litigation Assistant to support the legal department’s important and non-partisan voting-rights litigation in this battleground election state. The work will primarily involve assisting attorneys with investigating and tracking voting rights violations, assisting the organization’s manager of election-protection during the November 2026 election cycle, performing analyses of voting data for use in advocacy and litigation, and carrying out administrative tasks related to litigation. The Voting-Rights Litigation Assistant works closely with the Legal Director and other lawyers in the organization’s voting-rights-litigation team, members of the organization’s voting-rights-advocacy team, as well as with members of the organization’s voting-right-coalition. This position is full time and runs from mid-2026 through mid-2027. Applicants are invited to work in either the Philadelphia or Pittsburgh offices.
