General Job Description The Truck Detailer is responsible for cleaning, detailing, and maintaining the appearance of heavy-duty trucks to dealership standards. This role ensures trucks are presented in top condition for customer delivery, resale, or display, both inside and out. The Detailer performs a variety of tasks including washing, waxing, polishing, vacuuming, and interior sanitizing They also inspect vehicles for cleanliness, damage, or defects, and coordinate with the sales and service teams to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and follows all safety and environmental guidelines while maintaining equipment and work areas. Responsibilities • Clean and detail heavy-duty truck exteriors and interiors to dealership standards., • Wash, wax, buff, and polish paint, aluminum, chrome, and wheels., • Vacuum, shampoo, and sanitize interior surfaces, including sleeper berths., • Pressure wash engine compartments, undercarriages, and frames., • Apply protective coatings and remove surface imperfections., • Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, damage, or defects during detailing., • Maintain detailing tools, equipment, and supplies in safe working order., • Follow all safety, environmental, and dealership guidelines., • 18 years of age., • High school graduate, GED, or 1 year of work experience., • Valid driver’s license in the state of employment and a qualified MVR abstract., • Ability to work independently without direct on-site supervision., • Heavy-duty truck aptitude., • Comprehension: Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral/written instructions and information., • Organization: Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology., • Reasoning & Decision Making: Ability to apply common sense in performing job., • Communication: Ability to understand follow basic instructions and guidelines. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is normally loud. V.
