Job Description POSITION DESCRIPTION Job Title: Medication Technician Supervisor: Health Services Coordinator/Health Services Director FLSA Status: Hourly, non-exempt Date Approved: September 2025 OVERALL JOB PURPOSE The primary responsibility of this position is to administer medications to residents and assist with other aspects of their daily care and routine. As a Medication Technician, you embody our principle of Person-Centered care and support our mission statement through People, Passion, and Excellence by providing the highest standard of care and customer service. In assisted living and memory care, this role also ensures safety, promotes dignity, and supports engagement for residents with cognitive or physical challenges. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS • High School Diploma or equivalent, • Six months of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, • Appropriate certification, as required by the state, • Previous experience in senior living preferred, • Attention to detail to administer and accurately record the administration of medications for residents as prescribed by the physician in accordance with established policies and procedures of Sunshine Retirement Living and applicable state/federal regulations, • Demonstrated ability to communicate politely and effectively (in English), both verbally and in writing, with residents and staff, • Meet state-related requirements (if applicable to position), • Ability to work in a team setting and be a positive team player, • Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional approach with coworkers and residents, • Possess excellent customer and organizational skills, • Ability to work under time constraints with little supervision and meet department deadlines, • Training or willingness to train in dementia care practices, including redirection, validation, and behavioral support techniques, • Satisfactorily pass Sunshine’s and state-regulated criminal record clearance, health screening and, • TB clearance (if applicable) ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance according to healthcare provider’s orders, • Monitor health, safety, and well-being of the residents. Promptly report any changes in resident’s physical condition and/or behavior to Health Services Director or Health Services Coordinator, • Accurately maintain resident records regarding medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, and observations, • Properly store medications and equipment and keeps the medication room clean and orderly, • Ensures prescription label and storage procedures meet state standard, • Properly follow shift-change procedures and documentation, • Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating, • Support residents with memory loss by using patience, empathy, and specialized communication techniques, • Encourage and/or remind residents to participate in activities. Promote purposeful engagement that matches residents’ cognitive abilities and personal preferences, • Assist in keeping the environment safe and happy for residents, • Implement elopement-prevention and other safety measures specific to memory care residents, • Immediately respond to resident emergencies; provide first aid assistance; debrief and document incident following company procedures, • Accurately document medication administration, care provided, and observations in electronic health records per company policy, • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor OTHER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform all work assigned for the agreed-upon salary, accepting no additional payment or non- perishable gifts from residents, vendors, Community Management, or others, • Meet the assigned work requirements of the job. Job DescriptionSalary: $58,000-66,000 DOE St. Francis Center (SFC), an institution of the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado, was established in 1983. SFC is a refuge for people experiencing homelessness in the metro Denver area. Our programs and services are tailored toward adults and focus on daytime shelter, social services, health and wellness, housing, employment, outreach and an additional program that provides non-congregate shelter operations. In SFCs delivery of services, the people we serve can work with a variety of specialists, depending on their individual needs, to establish the first step toward transformation, new beginnings and stability. Department: Housing and Supportive Services Exemption Status: Full-Time, exempt position eligible for an excellent benefit package as outlined below. POSITION OVERVIEW The Assistant Director of Shelter Operations reports to the NCS Shelter Director and works in collaboration with all shelter staff to ensure the Non-congregate Shelter site provides a safe, stable, healing, and supportive environment for hotel guests, staff, volunteers and the broader community. This includes responsibility for promoting the safety and stability of shelter guests, supporting the achievement of programmatic outcomes, and collaborating effectively with our operations partner(s) (Salvation Army, Comfort Inn staff/maintenance), and other entities to ensure a safe and dignified living environment. Primary Responsibilities Operations and business focused skills: • Ensures completion of all required documentation and data entry, in a timely manner utilizing HMIS and the daily communication log., • Demonstrates proficiency in tracking direct reports and compliance in data submission, • Reviews all Security or shift change reports and logs, identifies, delegates and addresses issues as requested, • Uses technology for communication, including Microsoft Office products (Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word and any other required program (i.e. staff shift scheduling programs) May be requested to submit proof of use of Excel, • Responds to e-mails, voicemail and other forms of communication in a timely manner, • Coordinates and oversees the training of new staff and interns or other staff assigned to the project., • Monitors the ongoing training and supervision of existing staff, • Provides prior examples of how oversight of this area has been conducted, • Schedules regular meetings with direct reports individually and in group settings, • Conducts a Daily meeting when needed to prioritize follow up activities and to ensure attention and focus on the highest priority is maintained., • Addresses staff performance and areas for improvement, and holds direct report staff accountable to department and organizational standards, policies and behavior, • Offers timely feedback and recognition of staff excellence, • Uses performance evaluations and individual development plans to help direct reports meet personal, professional, and organizational goals, • Holds all staff and volunteers to the high standards related to safety, efficient service provision, guest care, and shelter cleanliness. This includes monitoring of PPE and protocols for responding to guest needs. Skills for Resident Support Services: • Responsible for ensuring staff monitor daily activities using the Daily Activity Log. This includes issues, incidents, and other notable occurrences, • Provides a consistent and welcoming approach to guests that builds relationships that are supportive and hold people accountable in an equitable manner. People Skills and Coordination with Partners: • Works collaboratively, leads others and demonstrates effective interactions in a solution-focused daily approach, actions, and manner., • Develops relationships with program participants that are marked with dignity and respect that foster hope and empowerment, • Provides a steady and consistent response to staff, guests and any person on the site; and demonstrates the ability to understand the why of a situation when problems., • Demonstrates respect, cultural competence and knowledge of trauma responsive care in interactions with shelter guests, staff and collaborative partners, • Helps to coordinate and provide onsite access to case management support for shelter guests, • Supports volunteers in working at the site by providing information and training for the work., • Engages respectfully with community partners and contract vendors EDUCATION (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS) • Bachelor's degree in social work, humanities, psychology or another related field required and five years of management and supervision experience, • Master's Degree in social work, humanities, psychology or another related field, preferred and three years of management and supervision experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE • Experience in Non-congregate shelter, transitional or bridge housing or other housing programs required, • Manage time effectively to meet all project deadlines, • Organize future events and activities and to implement a successful implementation of the event(s)., • Ability to communicate with written correspondence and verbal interaction, • Conflict Mediation/Resolution Skills or willingness to learn, • High Emotional Intelligence, • Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds and experience, • Trauma Responsive approach or willingness to learn this approach, • Creativity and flexibility, • Resilience and a thick skinned approach to work, • Self-motivation to achieve goals COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Salary is $58,000- $66,000depending on qualifications. General Purpose: Prepare daily general accounting journal entries for Cash and Revenue Cycle. Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, and with A/P Processing and PO matching, where needed. Help improve and implement policies and procedures related to Cash Receipts and General Accounting tasks. Essential Duties/Position Responsibilities: Cash Receipts – • Prepare, review and post Cash and Revenue Cycle entries daily, weekly and monthly., • Maintain entity and account crosswalk for Revenue Cycle interface from EPIC patient billing system., • Assist the Revenue Cycle Team in the reconciliation of weekly cash not yet posted to patient accounts., • Serve as the liaison between clinic front-desk cash operations and bank, to set-up new credit card terminals and cash collection procedures., • Manage the daily accounting functions of the operation to ensure proper procedures are followed., • Prepare reconciliations and adjustments as needed to keep the general ledger accurate, current and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)., • Perform month-end processes including preparing account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP, reviewing credit card activity for proper authorization and coding, and accruing for services received but not yet invoiced., • Assist with A/P Processing, PO matching, and annual 1099 reporting as needed., • Assist with annual external audit requests as needed., • Perform all duties thoroughly, accurately and in accordance with company policy and GAAP., • Assist with general office duties, • Attend meetings as required Integrity: Doing the right thing even when no one is watching.
