One parent leads the business full-time, and the other is home with our youngest children while also contributing to business marketing and community partnerships. Community and connection are important to us, and we share a commitment to living intentionally. Life moves fast for us, so we run our household with the same care and organization we bring to our business. We do annual, quarterly, and weekly planning, and we use a shared digital calendar to keep everything in sync. We go to bed early, travel regularly (both together and for work), and love getting away to our lake house on summer weekends. We also have one senior indoor cat who is very much part of the family. What we need most is someone who owns the home side of our life. Our household runs best when systems are in place and someone is ahead of the details before we even notice they need attention the pantry restocked, the laundry done, the appointments booked, the vendors coordinated, dinner handled. We have two very different working styles under one roof: one of us is big-picture and decisive, preferring a finished product handed over for final approval; the other is detail-oriented and likes to weigh options before landing on a decision. We need someone who can adapt fluidly to both. Because we're well-connected in our community, privacy is essential to us. Discretion and professionalism aren't just preferences; they're core requirements of the role, in both our personal lives and our business affairs. We currently have support from a part-time sitter, a house cleaner, a landscaper, and other service providers, so this role is about coordination and leadership as much as hands-on help. We're a small but mighty team at home, and we're looking for someone who truly wants to become a trusted, long-term part of it. Who You Are You're a household management professional first. You see what needs to be done, whether in an inbox or around the house, and handle it without being asked. You thrive on systems, love a good checklist, and find genuine satisfaction in making a household and a busy family run smoothly. You're tech-forward, comfortable working across digital tools and calendars, and you communicate clearly and confidently. You're equally comfortable being hands-on and being the person who keeps everything else moving. You're happy to fold laundry, prep a weeknight meal, run errands, and clean up after a senior cat and you're just as comfortable coordinating a vendor, managing a supply inventory, or keeping a shared calendar ahead of the week. No task is beneath the role, and no detail is too small to track. You also bring real executive assistant experience and know how to support a busy business owner. You can manage a high-volume inbox, draft correspondence in someone else's voice, and keep calendars and travel running smoothly without constant direction. You anticipate needs, bring finished solutions rather than open questions, and are comfortable being a trusted extension of a leader whose time is his most valuable asset. You're equally at ease on a quick text exchange or handling a time-sensitive project start to finish. You understand what discretion means in practice. You know how to hold sensitive information, stay professional in a community where people talk, and protect the privacy of the family you work for. You're comfortable in a busy home with young children and flexible enough to support a family whose schedule doesn't always follow a script. You're not easily rattled, and you don't need to be micromanaged. You show up, you deliver, and you take pride in the quality of your work.
