Job Description New Alternatives for Children, Inc. (NAC) is a leading child welfare and social services agency dedicated to supporting families in which at least one member has a disability and/or chronic medical condition. Children and families enter NAC's programs through the city's foster care and preventive services systems, or via community referral. All clients have access to a comprehensive range of services, including medical care, therapies, educational advocacy, housing assistance, recreational and cultural opportunities, and intensive coaching. NAC is seeking an Access, Thrive, Include (ATI) Coach to join its Futures program. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and brings creativity, persistence, and problem-solving skills to a collaborative and mission-driven team. At NAC, staff thrive in a supportive, energetic, and hardworking environment where commitment to young people and their families is central to everything we do. • Title of Position: NAC Futures Access, Thrive, Include (ATI) Coach, • Position Type: Full-time, • Salary Range:, • Bachelor's Level: $50,000-$55,000, • Master's Level: $60,000-$65,000, • Location: 825 7th Avenue, New York, NY, 10019, • Provide long-term coaching to adolescents and young adults (ages 14-21+) with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)., • Support youth in developing academic, career, and independent living skills., • Guide participants toward graduation, post-secondary education, and career pathways., • Help prevent long-term or repeat involvement in the child welfare system., • Foster independence and promote successful transitions to adulthood., • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and service providers to ensure holistic support., • Employ creative problem-solving and strengths-based approaches in coaching., • Experience in youth development, social work, education, counseling, or a related field., • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills., • Ability to build trusting, supportive relationships with adolescents and families., • Knowledge of child welfare, disability services, or related systems preferred., • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
