Join our team and put purpose behind your paycheck. #WeAreADT ⸻ Position Summary The Matrix Sales Manager is a high-impact, hybrid leadership role overseeing ADT’s Small Business, Residential, and Resale (phone-based) sales channels across the Peoria, IL and Davenport, IA territories. This is a unique multi-channel leadership position designed to maximize performance across overlapping markets by combining both B2C and B2B sales teams under a single manager. This is not a desk job. It is a hands-on, high-energy leadership role requiring daily engagement with your teams in the field and over the phone. You will spend a significant portion of your time recruiting, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing sales talent across two markets. The Matrix Manager directly influences sales outcomes, team development, customer satisfaction, and long-term market growth. ⸻ Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development • Lead, manage, and develop a blended team of:, • Residential Sales Representatives (field-based, D2D, in-home presentations), • Resale Representatives (phone-based, high-volume calling, CRM-driven), • Small Business Sales Representatives (B2B field sales), • Recruit, interview, and hire top-performing reps for both Peoria and Davenport., • Conduct structured coaching including:, • Daily huddles, • Weekly team meetings, • 1:1s and performance reviews, • Field ride-alongs and live selling, • Phone coaching for resale reps, • Develop team members through consistent accountability, activity coaching, and skill development programs., • Identify and cultivate high-potential talent for future leadership roles., • Uphold and drive ADT’s BLUE Culture: Be Bold. Elevate. ⸻ Sales Execution & Market Growth • Execute and administer ADT’s Residential, Resale, and Small Business sales programs across matrix territories., • Drive high-volume daily activity:, • Residential: 10 AM–8 PM, 6 days/week of field prospecting, • Resale: 150+ outbound accounts per day, • Small Business: local prospecting, grassroots marketing, territory planning, • Ensure reps follow ADT’s pricing models, compliance standards, technologies, techniques, and programs., • Maximize self-generated lead strategies, community engagement, and grassroots initiatives., • Oversee structured territory management across two markets with overlapping responsibilities., • Maintain strong product and technology knowledge across ADT’s smart-home and business security solutions. ⸻ Field Coaching & Leadership Presence • Spend 25–50% of your time in the field working alongside reps in real sales environments., • Coach reps on:, • Door-knocking techniques, • In-home customer presentations, • B2B prospecting approaches, • Smart-home and business security education, • Consultative selling techniques, • Lead by example through field selling, live presentations, and hands-on coaching. ⸻ Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with installation teams, operations, customer experience, and retention to ensure customer satisfaction., • Maintain strong communication between Peoria and Davenport to align expectations, support hiring, and streamline onboarding., • Ensure licensing, compliance, and state regulations are fully adhered to., • Support performance planning, territory coverage, and team scheduling across two states. ⸻ Performance Management • Monitor KPIs and performance through Salesforce dashboards, activity reports, and pipeline analytics:, • Daily touches, • Lead creation and follow-up, • Closing ratios, • Sales cycle velocity, • Territory productivity, • Resale call volume and conversion metrics, • Coach and correct performance gaps quickly and effectively., • Conduct annual reviews and implement development plans when needed., • Maintain accurate reporting and ensure team utilization of CRM tools. ⸻ Education / Certification • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred — or equivalent experience., • Additional certifications or leadership training a strong plus. ⸻ Required Experience • 3–5 years of proven sales leadership or supervisory experience., • Strong track record in direct-to-consumer, door-to-door, inside sales, B2B, telecom, solar, pest control, home improvement, or field-based industries., • Experience managing multi-role or multi-channel sales teams preferred. ⸻ Technology & Salesforce Competency (Critical Requirement) This role requires a high level of comfort with technology. Candidates must be able to use, teach, and coach: • Salesforce CRM (HUGE bonus; strongly preferred), • Mobile sales tools, • Smart-home technology interfaces, • ADT applications and reporting platforms, • Tablet-based demo tools, • Communication and productivity software If you are not comfortable with CRM systems, digital reporting tools, or technology-driven workflows, this role will not be a good fit.
