Job Description Responsibilities of this Sr Accountant include: * Monitor daily cash activity, reconcile bank accounts, and review outgoing payments to ensure financial accuracy and liquidity * Compile monthly financial summaries, analyze performance trends, and develop forward-looking cash flow models to guide decision-making * Coordinate year-end documentation for tax filings, prepare reports for executive leadership, and manage allocations for retirement plans and performance-based incentives * Handle the preparation and submission of required federal, state, and local tax documents, including 1099 forms * Serve as a secondary resource for receivables and payables, ensuring continuity and coverage across the finance team * Maintain schedules for fixed assets and depreciation, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting * Partner with HR to execute payroll cycles, validate payroll data, and post journal entries for departmental expense distribution Minimum qualifications * 5+ years in a professional accounting role with a good grasp of GAAP * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred * Architecture, engineering, or construction is highly desirable * Familiarity with Ajera software is a strong advantage * Exposure to prevailing wage reporting and ESOP structures is a plus * Strong analytical mindset with a high attention to detail * Excellent communication and organizational skills * Ability to work independently yet collaboratively Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, and 401K plan.
