Job DescriptionTrust & Estate Administration Paralegal Location: Wilmington, NC 28403 (Fully Onsite) Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-time, W2 LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a respected North Carolina law firm seeking an experienced Trust & Estate Administration Paralegal to support attorneys with end-to-end estate, trust, guardianship, and probate matters. Primary Responsibilities: • Manage estate and trust administration from initial intake through final accounting., • Compile and verify asset information and valuations; prepare Inventories and Fiduciary Accounts., • Draft, file, and track probate petitions, notices, accountings, and related court documents., • Coordinate with beneficiaries, financial institutions, appraisers, and governmental offices; maintain clear, timely communication with clients and attorneys., • Prepare and file documents to transfer assets (e.g., deeds, designations, assignments)., • Under attorney supervision, prepare estate planning documents (wills, trusts, POAs, health care directives)., • Prepare federal and state estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns; assist with tax strategy implementation., • Conduct targeted legal and factual research relevant to probate and tax matters., • Maintain organized files, calendars, and deadline tracking; ensure documents meet court, client, and taxing authority requirements., • Use estate administration software and MS Office to produce accurate, audit-ready work product.Minimum Requirements:, • 3+ years of recent and tenured paralegal experience in NC estate administration, • Strong time management, organization, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills., • Professional client service and clear written/verbal communication., • High attention to detail with excellent legal proofreading., • Proficiency with MS Office and estate administration software., • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team., • North Carolina Notary Public (or ability to obtain promptly)., • NC Certified Paralegal (NCCP) preferred but not required.Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience, ranging from $45,000 to $100,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
