Job Description Pricing / Quoting Estimator Position Summary ABBA Roller is seeking an Estimator to support quoting, pricing, and customer service activities for custom roller and elastomer manufacturing projects. This role is responsible for reviewing customer requests, interpreting drawings and specifications, estimating material and labor requirements, and preparing accurate quotes in alignment with company pricing guidelines and production capabilities. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing estimating, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams, and works well within a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities • Review customer quote requests, drawings, specifications, and purchase requirements, • Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, outside services, tooling, and production requirements, • Develop and submit customer quotes in a timely and professional manner, • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, sketches, and product specifications, • Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, and Customer Service to confirm job requirements and feasibility, • Communicate with customers to clarify specifications, delivery expectations, and quote details, • Request vendor pricing for outside processing, materials, tooling, or specialty components as needed, • Maintain accurate quote records, cost data, customer information, and supporting documentation, • Evaluate historical job data to support pricing accuracy and continuous improvement, • Assist with order entry handoff to ensure quoted requirements are properly communicated to production teams, • Identify potential cost savings, pricing concerns, or process improvement opportunities, • Support customer service and sales teams with technical and pricing-related questions, • Monitor quote status and follow up with internal stakeholders as needed, • Adhere to company quality standards, safety policies, and business procedures, • Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Education • High School Diploma or GED required, • Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent manufacturing experience Experience • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing estimating, quoting, customer service, production planning, or a related technical role preferred, • Experience in rubber, urethane, elastomer, machining, industrial roller, or custom manufacturing environments preferred, • Solidworks/CAD experience is a plus/preferred, • Familiarity with Quality Control (QC) inspection tools/equipment is a plus/preferred Skills & Competencies • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications, • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, quality, and follow-through, • Ability to estimate material, labor, and production requirements for custom manufacturing jobs, • Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills, • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams, • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple quote requests simultaneously, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook, • Experience with ERP, quoting, CRM, or manufacturing software systems preferred, • Ability to work independently while contributing within a team-oriented environment, • Understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and quality requirements preferred Physical Requirements • Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods of time, • Ability to occasionally walk through manufacturing areas and review production processes or materials, • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs., • Close vision and the ability to review drawings, specifications, and detailed documentation Training • On-the-job training will be provided on applicable procedures, quoting processes, systems, products, and manufacturing capabilities within the assigned area.
