Specific Role Details: Technical Requirements: 1. Ability to work in a broad and diverse range of construction types, oversee the construction effort to ensure the project is executed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Works collaboratively with project superintendent, foreman, trades, client representatives, A/E representatives and other contractors in a professional manner., 2. Creates a proactive safety culture that encourages “safety first” thinking and performance., 3. Administer project safety program to ensure a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with corporate safety plan, regulations by owner, state, and OSHA, and project specific safety measures. Reviews, monitors, and supports jobsite safety., 4. Exhibit a keen ability to identify and develop talent., 5. Provides technical assistance, constructability feedback, interpret drawings, and develops construction methods consistent with contract documents, budget, and schedule on projects in preconstruction and during construction., 6. Participates in purchasing and scheduling commitments with project superintendent as necessary., 7. Exhibits ability to independently develop and audit project schedules at all phases of design development with vision toward identifying and communicating challenges and opportunities., 8. Supports the planning and coordination of on-site functions (engineering, scheduling and coordination of material deliveries, subcontractors, equipment, and manpower requirements)., 9. Takes a lead role in developing and implementing project procedures and standards., 10. Reinforces, supports, and trains industry and company standards to produce consistent results., 11. Is a catalyst for strong, efficient, timely decision making to ensure procurement, submittal, or other project management functions are managed effectively., 12. Builds and maintains relationships with field superintendents, foreman, and management teams. Supports field superintendents and foreman in their positions by exhibiting strong leadership in recruiting, training, mentoring, and motivating., 13. Ensures updated project schedules and sub-schedules are maintained as required. Increases overall schedule awareness., 14. Ensures field operations are aligned with the requirements of the Prime Agreement., 15. Ensures timely buyout of subcontracts for projects., 16. Monitors design details for cost and constructability., 17. Maintains familiarity with owner contract terms and risks., 18. Assists with project pursuits in developing early schedules, logistics plans, and work plans., 19. Reviews, approves, or denies purchase orders and pay requests. EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: • 4yr bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering., • Software: Bluebeam, Procore, Outbuild, Primavera, Vista., • Self-Perform Concrete Experience., • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Engineer., • Strong grasp of all building construction trades., • Skilled in Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling., • Strong ability in cost projecting., • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software., • Safety standards knowledge including OSHA 30 or greater. 1. Ensures productive and consistent communication between field and office staff., 2. Assists in subcontractor related problems and crucial conversations to mitigate potential issues and minimize impacts to job performance. Communicates issues and concerns with project superintendent and project executive., 3. Identifies opportunities to provide further personal development for individual reports., 4. Takes initiative and lead project team., 5. Exhibits ability to maintain composure during high-stress situations., 6. Serves as mentor and show exemplary interpersonal skills., 7. Exhibits ability to think through challenges from multiple angles, displaying an ability to arrive at productive conclusions. Supports team in their ability to resolve challenges., 8. Posses strong communication skills while displaying patience with teaching and mentoring., 9. Recruits perspective team members based on company attributes. BUSINESS ACUMEN: 1. Is consistently aware of budget and cost and makes responsible fiscal decisions in conjunction with the Superintendent., 2. Plays primary role in planning, direction, and training of company quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) functions., 3. Ensures that project is maintaining a complete set of up-to-date contract documents, shop drawings, and “as built” / record drawings”., 4. Makes sure that documentation of project progress per company Photographic Documentation and Daily/Weekly Construction Reporting policies., 5. Ensures efficient, timely, and high-quality project close out procedures., 6. Guarantees that job cleanliness, branding, marketing, and presentation are maintained per company standards and approved Site Logistics Plans., 7. Has an entrepreneurial mindset with all project financials., 8. Develops and nurture strong Subcontractor relationships., 9. Provides business development and interfacing with clients to support continued business growth.
