Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Technician II - Robotics and Mechanical Support Pay: $28/hr Location: Tallahassee, FL Shift: Must be open to any shift typically Sunday-Wednesday OR Wednesday-Saturday, Day or Night shift Job Description As a Maintenance Technician II, you will utilize your expertise to support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across the facility. This role provides the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. Responsibilities • Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, such as conveyors., • Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures., • Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries., • Enter downtime data in daily logs and complete PM sheets., • Manage work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)., • Possess basic electrical knowledge and components., • Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment., • 2+ years of experience in predictive and preventative maintenance procedures., • Experience in repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls., • 2+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading., • Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles., • Experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and applications., • Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations., • Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and Safety standards., • Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in Mechanical or Electrical fields., • 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field., • Experience with PLC-based control systems. Work Environment Work in a large distribution facility equipped with high-speed automation and robotic components. The role involves walking approximately 10,000 steps per day and handling weights up to 49lbs. All candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift. Performance will be monitored through a data-driven system to ensure expectations are met, though there is no micromanagement involved. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tallahassee, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.60 - $27.60/hr.
