Compensation: $28/hr Benefits: Our full-time positions offer role specific on-the-job training, career paths, and a full range of benefits: • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, • Supplemental Medical Reimbursement Plans, • Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays*, • 401k Plan & Free Retirement Planning Consulting, • Short-term & Long-term Disability Income Protection Benefits, • Life Insurance for Teammate and Family, • Employee Assistance Program, • Recognition & Reward Program, • Perks Discount Programs with 3,000 free classes from yoga to financial wellness, • Wellness Program, • Pet Insurance POSITION SUMMARY: • Implementing and overseeing the security operation for the entire site, • Supervising security officers, • Assisting with the functions of physical and personal security and safety measures of members, patients, staff, and visitors, • Protecting staff and property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference, including the potential for violence in the workplace, • Making periodic tours to check for irregularities, • Inspecting protection devices and fire control equipment, • Preserving order and may enforce regulations pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises CO Only - Application Deadline: 5/31/2026 Responsibilities You will conduct the following responsibilities, upholding Tarian’s commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community. • Manages daily work assignments and schedules to include the daily schedule of all assigned Tarian's personnel., • Manages time sheet processing, overtime utilization, and Vision accuracy., • May conduct off-hours inspections of employees and program elements., • Develops and updates Facility Orders and Competency Tasks., • Oversees the assigned work group and/or location(s); maintains Tarian's equipment and supplies., • Provides facility employee involvement/security awareness educational programs and workshops., • Proactively leads, manages and develops direct reports., • Develops and manages competency tasks and procedures., • Analyzes department functions and make suggestions, recommendations or changes when appropriate to increase effectiveness and productivity., • Writes reports / reviews reports from others and assesses situations for potential negative impact., • Interacts with various departments and leaders of the facility to effectively implement the security program., • Identifies program issues and potential negative situations; develops and formulates possible solutions; reports possible countermeasures to appropriate leaders, • Participates on facility committees and interfaces with appropriate facility departments., • Ensures applicable paperwork/computer data are properly documented and followed up., • Attends Tarian and facility conferences and meetings as scheduled., • Apply Tarian's use of Force Policy appropriately, • Performs other job-related duties as assigned., • Performs duties of a security officer and/or supervisor as needed which includes, but is not limited to:, • Provides a visible deterrence to crime, prohibited activities, or suspicious activities in public and non-public areas which may include but is not limited to areas such as the main building, outlying buildings, grounds, parking areas, stairways, tunnels, mechanical areas, or patient treatment areas., • Responds quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations., • Escorts persons and assist facility personnel., • Constantly alert and vigilant for activities which could result in injury to a person or damage to or loss of property., • Enforces and abides by all regulations and guidelines of the facility, PACT/BeST and Tarian., • Verbally intervenes during crisis. This includes the functional ability to quickly grasp stressful situations, develop rapport with uncooperative individuals, understand when people are or are not processing information, and be supportive or directive as needed., • Ability to physically intervene when people are in crisis. This includes the functional ability to physically restrain people, requiring retention of trained knowledge under stress as well as the ability to meet significant physical demands including those of a struggle with someone physically stronger, while making all possible efforts not to inflict injury. It includes the ability to continue to request or direct compliance from people while they are being restrained., • Communicates effectively with diverse people including clients or their representatives, client employees, visitors, or client vendors., • Maintains a thorough knowledge of a facility and, where applicable, of multiple facilities., • Maintains a positive working relationship with the facility security representatives, local public safety agencies, and Tarian's administration. Qualifications Qualifications & Experience: • Must be at least 18 years of age, • Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., pager or phone), • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private), • Must have the legal right to work in the United States, • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English, • Must have a High School Diploma or GED; If not, must be willing to complete the GED program within six months, • Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation, • Security, military, or law enforcement related experience preferred Must have: • Valid Government issued Driver's License or valid state issued I.D. card, • Bureau of Security and Investigative Services Certification or Guard Card, • International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic Officer Certification, • Ability to read and interpret documents such as police reports, local and state law, instructions and procedure manuals, • Ability to write accurate, clear and concise crime, incident and investigative reports, • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, employees and visitors, • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers, • Knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures., • Pass each healthcare competency exam and/or skills lab including in managing or defusing assaultive behavior training program or similar course as described by the client., • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form., • Ability to be an effective team member., • Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances., • Courteous telephone manner., • Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization., • Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports., • Good organizational skills., • Ability to provide high quality customer service., • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Work hours will vary depending on assignments, client schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company. Workweeks may exceed 40 hours and may involve any of the 7 days of the week, depending on the needs of the business. The work environment may be fast-paced and stressful or may also be quiet and slow-paced. All environments and pace of work will require alertness and ability to perform under pressure. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time throughout an assigned shift; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects 25 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently engages in mental concentration, analysis, and formulation.
