Job Description Position Qualifications * Must have a CDA or * Must have 15 hours of college course work, preferably in early childhood education or willing to work towards college degree in early childhood education or C.D.A. * Commitment to enroll in a college or CDA program leading toward Early Childhood Education * Has Certification for a New Jersey teaching certificate, C.A.D ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to) * Maintains excellent punctuality and attendance * Must be attentive to the children at all assigned times. * Assists in assessing the safety of classroom and outdoor play areas before engaging children in activities * Assists in organizing classroom environment for learning, eating, resting and playing in accordance with the Creative Curriculum, * Accompanies children at all time to and from the classroom, playground, and out of center activities maintaining attendance check and head count at all times * May need to leads the classroom in the absence of the Teacher for a short time period. * Responsible for helping in keeping equipment and materials accessible and in good condition so as to encourage maximum use by the children. * Responsible for attaining CPR and First Aid certificates and keeping is current . * Attend and participate in weekly team meetings. * Attend and participate in prearrange conferences/meetings arranged by the school. * Share and discuss appropriate information with parents about their children. * Attend and participate in Parent Meetings when needed. * Participates in all mandatory trainings to include pre-service, in-service and other educational programs and trainings * Completes the minimum number of training hours required by the state of NJ Company Description• Responsible for helping in keeping the classroom equipment and materials in good condition so as to encourage maximum use by the children • Responsible for supervision of all the children at all time in the classroom with and is attentive to the children at all times, • Must attend and participate in staff meetings, • Share and discuss only positive information with parents about their children, • Responsible for working cooperatively with all staff members, • Responsible for helping in organizing classroom environment where everyone has a fair share of responsibilities, • Ability to establish warm and supportive relationships with children and their families, • Develop awareness of behavior and growth development of children, • Expected to never punish (no time-outs), aggressively handle and/or verbally ridicule child(ren)’s ability or lack thereof, • Expected to always interact with children, • Expected to speak with children at a child’s eye level, and use a positive, soft tone of voice• Responsible for helping in keeping the classroom equipment and materials in good condition so as to encourage maximum use by the children \r\n• Responsible for supervision of all the children at all time in the classroom with and is attentive to the children at all times\r\n• Responsible for attaining CPR and First Aid certificates (we will pay for the \r\n class)\r\n• Responsible for developing and maintaining a sound working relationship \r\nwith all staff members, children and parents\r\n• Must attend and participate in staff meetings \r\n• Share and discuss only positive information with parents about their children \r\n• Responsible for meeting with your team weekly to discuss strengths and \r\nweakness in your classroom to carry out its functions, policies, and procedures \r\n• Responsible for working cooperatively with all staff members \r\n• Responsible for helping in organizing classroom environment where everyone has a fair share of responsibilities \r\n• Ability to establish warm and supportive relationships with children and their families \r\n• Develop awareness of behavior and growth development of children \r\n• Expected to never punish (no time-outs), aggressively handle and/or verbally ridicule child(ren)’s ability or lack thereof \r\n• Expected to always interact with children \r\n• Expected to speak with children at a child’s eye level, and use a positive, soft tone of voice
