Construction Project Manager Fully Onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 6-month Contract to Hire Unable to Provide Sponsorship or do C2C About the Role: Brooksource is seeking a Junior Construction Project Manager to support one of the country’s leading automotive retailers across active construction and development initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to work directly under a Director of Construction & Development within the enterprise company’s development team, supporting a large portfolio of projects across Florida and the Southeast United States. This role is ideal for someone early in their construction or design career who wants to learn the owner’s side of large-scale commercial construction. The selected candidate will help support dealership builds, renovations, expansions, relocations, service centers, and turnover efforts from planning and design coordination through permitting, construction oversight, punch list, and final handoff to operations. This person will not replace the general contractor or fully own the build. Instead, they will act as an extension of the owner’s side by helping track milestones, review drawings, coordinate updates, flag risks, organize reporting, and create better visibility across multiple active projects. What You’ll Do: • Support active dealership construction and development projects across planning, design, permitting, construction, punch list, and turnover, • Assist with reviewing architectural drawings, site plans, layouts, construction documents, and CAD files, • Use CAD software to support basic markups, drawing updates, layout references, and project documentation needs, • Track project schedules, milestones, punch lists, open items, vendor updates, and key deliverables across multiple active projects, • Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, vendors, internal business partners, and operations teams, • Help identify risks related to schedule, cost, permitting, design coordination, quality, site logistics, or vendor delays, • Prepare clear project updates, meeting notes, action items, and status reports for leadership visibility What You Bring: • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Real Estate Development, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field required, • 1–3 years of experience in construction management, project engineering, development coordination, owner’s representation, architecture, facilities construction, or a related field, • Hands-on familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, or similar design/construction documentation tools, • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, floor plans, schedules, scopes of work, and project documentation, • Strong organization skills and the ability to track multiple workstreams or projects at once, • Proactive, coachable, and eager to grow into a stronger Construction Project Manager / Owner’s Representative role over time Preferred (Not Required) Experience: • Experience with commercial, retail, automotive, dealership, service center, collision center, or multi-site construction projects, • Exposure to pre-construction, estimating, bidding, permitting, entitlements, value engineering, or design-build coordination, • Experience supporting renovations or construction projects where the business remains open during construction, • Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, FF&E, equipment coordination, and turnover to operations, • Experience with prototype layouts, brand standards, service shop layouts, or facility planning BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH BROOKSOURCE: • Direct communication with the hiring manager, which allows us to move candidates through the interview process faster., • Dedication to keep an open line of communication and provide full transparency.
