This role initiates referrals and cross-sell opportunities for appropriate products and services based on member needs. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator and active listener with a passion for genuinely helping people. They are proficient in opening new accounts, and maintaining existing accounts, along with the products and services CCCU offers. These products include but are not limited to consumer, business, fiduciary, and IRA. This role also supports functions of the Teller row by performing routine and complex transactions, utilizing the Teller drawer or TCR machine, and handling Vault Teller duties. Essential Job Responsibilities • Open, maintain, and service consumer, business, fiduciary, and IRA accounts with accuracy, compliance, and strong attention to detail., • Guide members through account options by asking questions, identifying needs, and clearly explaining products, digital services, and available solutions., • Research and resolve member issues related to account activity, digital banking, card services, and general inquiries, escalating when appropriate., • Complete operational tasks such as wires, Visa and debit/credit card servicing, account processing requests, document scanning, and other technical back‐office functions that support smooth branch operations., • Stay informed on policy updates, regulatory requirements, and product changes to ensure accurate information and compliance in all account‐related work., • Support the teller team as needed by processing routine transactions (deposits, withdrawals, payments, cashier’s checks) and participating in dual‐control procedures such as ATM or vault responsibilities., • Assist with call overflow and contribute to a consistent, high‐quality member experience across all service channels. Position - Specific • Proficiency in opening, maintaining, and servicing all account types including consumer, business, fiduciary, and IRA, with the ability to accurately explain related products and services to members., • Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve member issues, including digital banking support, card inquiries, account research, and service problems., • Strong understanding of CCCU policies, procedures, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements, with consistent application of privacy, security, and documentation rules., • Competence in performing operational support tasks such as wires, Visa and card servicing, document scanning, ATM/dual-control responsibilities, and other branch operational functions., • Skill in engaging members in needs‐based conversations to identify referral and cross‐sell opportunities that support branch and organizational goals., • Demonstrated excellence in providing customer service to members and/or internal members and fostering a positive working environment., • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment, which may include frequent interruptions., • Excellent computer skills, such as Microsoft Office Suite, including AI, with the ability to learn new software., • Strong ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and performing follow through., • Excellent communication skills including effective listening, speaking, problem solving, and tact in dealing with internal and external members., • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality., • Dependability in attendance, punctuality, and meeting deadlines., • Must have the ability to work independently, and exercise good judgment, initiative, and tact in dealing with internal and external customers., • High school diploma or equivalent, with additional coursework or training in business, finance, communication, or related fields preferred., • 1+ year of experience in a customer‐facing role that combines sales, advising, or consultative service, ideally in a financial institution or a privacy‐sensitive industry such as insurance, real estate, healthcare/medical billing, or similar., • Demonstrated experience with application or data‐entry processes, including accuracy in documentation, compliance, and handling sensitive personal information., • Proven success in needs‐based sales or referral generation, including the ability to educate clients/members and match them with appropriate products or services., • Notary Public commission (or ability to obtain within 90 days) preferred to support lending, account services, and document‐signing needs., • Occasional shift rotation may require earlier or later hours., • Occasional travel to other branch locations., • Repeated motions may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers., • Ability to use a keypad and keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time., • Vision and hearing to normal range (or corrected)., • Adjusting, lifting, carrying, or pushing/pulling objects up to 25 pounds in all directions., • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods., • Must be bondable, • Professional references, employment, credit and background checks required., • Reliable transportation This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only tasks to be performed by the person occupying this position.
