Overland Park is renowned for its excellent schools, vibrant parks, and welcoming community—making it one of the best places to live and work in the Midwest.\n \n\nRadiology Technologist Job Details\n\n • Location: Overland Park, KS 66213 (Kansas City metro area)\n, • Healthcare Setting: Community Hospital Imaging Department\n, • Position Type: Travel Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech)\n, • Contract Length: 13 weeks\n, • Start Date: December 29, 2025\n, • End Date: March 30, 2026\n, • Shift: Night Shift (Thursday/Friday/Saturday, 6:00pm – 6:30am)\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Block Scheduling: Yes\n, • Weekend Requirement: 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule\n, • Floating: May float between departments, units, and facilities\n, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1850 - $1900 per week\n\n\nRadiology Technologist Qualifications\n\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Radiology Technologist or X-Ray Technologist\n, • At least 1 year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months (no employment gaps over 90 days)\n, • Current ARRT (R) certification required\n, • Active state license in Kansas and Missouri or compact state license\n, • BLS certification (American Heart Association)\n, • Proficient in bedside/portable radiology procedures, Emergency Department, ICU, and a variety of radiographic exams (abdomen, chest, extremities, spine, trauma, etc.)\n, • Experience with PACS and Epic EMR systems\n, • Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions, and radiation safety\n, • Experience with Samsung radiology equipment preferred; CT knowledge a plus\n, • Ability to float between units and facilities as needed\n, • On-call availability required\n, • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)\n, • References: 2 required (one supervisor or above, one charge RN; both from the past year)\n\n\nRadiology Technologist Responsibilities\n\n, • Perform high-quality radiographic exams for patients of all ages (neonates to geriatrics) in various settings (bedside, emergency, ICU, outpatient, OR)\n, • Operate portable Samsung X-ray machines and assist with patient transport for CT staff during night shifts\n, • Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR and PACS\n, • Adhere to infection prevention, isolation precautions, and radiation safety protocols\n, • Float between departments, units, and facilities as needed to support patient care\n, • Participate in holiday shifts and charge assignments as required\n We believe in empowering your career.
