Job DescriptionDescription: A Certified Nursing Assistant will provide essential care and support to residents, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires a nurturing attitude, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively within a healthcare team. Schedule: Part-time, AM and PM Shifts, 8 hour shifts Primary Responsibilities and Duties: • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting., • Help residents with mobility, transferring, and positioning to ensure their safety and comfort., • Monitor residents’ vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff., • Serve meals and assist residents with eating as needed, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration., • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a caring and supportive environment., • Assist with implementing individualized care plans under the direction of licensed nursing staff., • Maintain a clean and organized environment in resident room and common areas., • Follow infection control procedures and maintain a sanitary environment to prevent the spread of illness., • Respond to resident calls and requests promptly and courteously., • Document care provided and observation accurately in residents’ medical records., • CNA License required, • At least 1 year of experience as a nurse assistant preferred., • CPR certification preferred., • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred., • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately., • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining resident confidentiality., • Work performed in a medical setting due to the need to work directly with residents., • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, twist, use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, equipment, or controls., • Stamina to stand and move about the facility to perform frequent rounds and respond to emergent situations as needed., • Emotional resilience and ability to cope with the physical and emotional demands of working with residents who may have complex healthcare needs., • Capability to lift and transfer residents safely, with proper body mechanics and assistance as needed., • Required vision includes close, vision, distance, peripheral, and the ability to adjust focus., • Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by the department supervisor/manager., • Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations., • The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing., • The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position., • The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
