SUMMARY NY Enrichment Group is seeking several reliable, self-motivated, independent, fun-loving, part-time youth Tai Chi Instructors to join our team. The successful candidates will be supporting students while fostering and cultivating their desire for movement and physical activity. Instructors must be able to successfully adopt a creative, fun, and energetic learning approach while promoting and instilling values of respect, teamwork, and passion. Instructors will model and inspire a love of Tai Chi that will equip each student to succeed in whatever passion they pursue. The instructor must be enthusiastic and exhibit a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to the communities we serve and demonstrate the ability to motivate, inspire and educate. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES • Develop and conduct onsite Tai Chi classes for 3-4 year olds, • Arrive on site 15 minutes prior to the start of teaching class, • Provide careful, safe instruction with attention paid to students’ abilities and limitations., • Arriving to teach class in advance of the scheduled time to greet participants, answer questions and address concerns., • Dressing appropriately for teaching exercise classes., • Employ the principles of learning and appropriate teaching methods to promote an optimal level of wellness for children., • Sharing educational information with your class participants. QUALIFICATIONS • Must have educational background in Tai Chi, Exercise Science, Health Education or related field., • Experience with community programs and working with Adults or Older Adults., • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)., • Advanced skills in interpersonal communication., • Awareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury., • This position requires the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and talk.
