Job Description Fuel Systems Technician at Lakes Region Environmental • Pay: $32–$37/hr; performance-based summer and year-end bonuses, • Location: Gilmanton, New Hampshire with regional travel for work (overnights occur occasionally; a full week away is rare), • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:30am start, overtime after 8 hours, • No weekend work. No 24/7 on-call requirement. No winter layoffs. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES • Troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, meters, valves, piping, hoses, and fittings., • Install, replace, and calibrate sensors, floats, probes, and tank monitoring equipment (Omntec, Pneumercator, Veeder-Root)., • Perform tank, piping, dispenser, and sump inspections with full documentation., • Diagnose issues and communicate repair needs clearly to office staff., • Perform piping repairs, leak point identification, gasket replacements, and component swaps., • Lead small system installs and mechanical work., • Assist electricians by mounting boxes, routing conduit, and preparing equipment., • Train junior techs in safety and field procedures., • Maintain high standards when working on regulated, mission-critical sites., • Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and courteously at all times., • Complete and maintain required training and certification courses on schedule to stay current with industry standards (paid for by the company)., • Maintain accurate job documentation (photos, notes, forms) both written and digitally. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • 3–5+ years in fuel systems, mechanical trades, industrial service, or similar., • ICC AST/UST/Decommission certifications or willingness to obtain., • Deep commitment to and pride in quality and compliance, including the field-based work and paperwork and documentation that it requires, • Pipe fitting and/or electrical experience a plus but not required., • Strong problem-solving and independent field judgment., • Ability to work outdoors in all seasons., • Ability to start early, • Ability to accommodate the occasional 1-2 overnight job and rare week away, • Clean driving record with ability to meet DOT requirements., • Must be courteous and respectful with customers, inspectors, and teammates — professionalism is essential., • Ability to satisfy customer and regulatory requirement for certain sites, which may include background checks or drug screening, • We operate as a highly skilled, team-first crew; ego and drama will not work here., • CDL A a plus but not required.
