This role will leverage traditional business development rigor with the disruptive power of LOC Technologies—a platform transforming fiber infrastructure through NFC tagging, mobile workflows, and secure ledger-based tracking. The Manager of Business Development will be responsible for completing market & opportunity analysis as well as relationship management of new and existing clients. The Manager of Business Development will oversee strategic growth planning and execution as well as performance tracking & reporting. The Manager of Business Development will be responsible for pitch development and proposal drafts. The Manager of Business Development will be responsible for developing market and product playbooks. Responsibilities • Develop state side client relationships and bring LOC solutions to North America, • Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics., • Conduct research to uncover new business opportunities and untapped segments., • Evaluate potential partnerships, channels, and expansion strategies., • Build and nurture relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders., • Represent the company at events, conferences, and client meetings., • Develop trust-based rapport that leads to long-term business growth., • Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with company goals., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new initiatives or services., • Create business cases and ROI models to support investment decisions., • Craft compelling proposals, presentations, and pitch materials., • Lead negotiations and close deals with professionalism and strategic finesse., • Understand client needs to develop custom solutions designed to meet client-specific needs and objectives., • Monitor pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue targets., • Analyze sales data and market feedback to refine strategies., • Report progress to senior leadership and recommend course corrections., • Own the full sales cycle: qualification, pitch, demo, pilot, negotiation, and close, • Develop playbooks, onboarding guides, and training materials for BD teams., • Review and manage client escalations to resolution. Advise stakeholders on status during escalation lifecycle., • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field., • 5+ years in sales, marketing, or business development, ideally in fiber/telecom, construction tech, or field ops., • Possession of valid driver license., • OSP standards and practices associated with facility-locate, drop, and installation/repair activity., • OSP planning, engineering, construction, and installation principles and procedures., • Vendor contracts and associated terms and conditions., • Vendor sourcing procedures., • Target pricing for vendor-provided activity., • Vendor performance-management procedures., • Federal, state, local, and company operational and safety standards., • Permitting requirements - including work zone protection and traffic control plans., • State One-Call-Center (811) underground facility locating guidelines across all states in the client footprint., • Working knowledge of GIS, NFC tagging, and digital twin concepts., • Excellent written and speaking skills., • Experience in client facing roles, negotiation or partner development., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, • Proficient in Excel and Word, • Attention to detail, • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills, • Project scheduling, updating, and due-date management., • Material inventory management., • Invoice, time sheet, and payment review and audits., • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, • Collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders including Customer Operations, Outside Plant Construction and Engineering, Logistics, Finance, Contract Administration, Corporate Sourcing, vendors, and federal, state, and local governing agencies., • Ability to work outdoors, extended driving, and lifting/carrying of moderately heavy objects., • Ability to work overtime, be on call for nights and weekends and work as required to accomplish objectives., • Ability to travel, work outdoors, and adapt to fast-paced environments.
