Job DescriptionDescription: Hybrid every other week onsite in Merrimack, NH Our client engages product-aware engineers to build omni-channel, consumer-grade Android experiences. Teams deliver features end to end, influence platform standards, and iterate quickly while upholding accessibility, security, and performance. The environment values mentorship, collaboration, and continuous learning across modern mobile architectures and tooling. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities: Responsibilities • Build and enhance Android features from concept through deployment using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and MVVM., • Collaborate with architecture, security, and design to deliver compliant, accessible, and user-centered mobile experiences., • Define and promote mobile engineering standards, protocols, and tooling across platform squads., • Provide mobile thought leadership to advance outcomes and champion a mobile-first approach., • Mentor and lead Android developers through design reviews, code reviews, pull requests, and pair programming., • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automation using tools such as Jenkins, DevOps platforms, and Artifactory., • Integrate and consume RESTful services with robust error handling and resiliency patterns., • Establish strong logging, monitoring, and crash analytics with platforms such as Splunk, Datadog, and Firebase Crashlytics., • Apply trunk-based development, feature toggles, and branch-by-abstraction to support rapid, stable releases., • 10+ years of professional Android development with Kotlin, including public app releases to the Google Play Store., • Strong proficiency with Jetpack Compose and Android Studio/JetBrains toolchain., • Fluency in object-oriented and functional programming patterns for Android., • Leadership experience guiding Android teams in architecture, design decisions, code reviews, and pair programming., • Proven mentoring and coaching of Android engineers., • Deep knowledge of MVVM architecture and reactive patterns., • Excellent understanding of consuming RESTful web services., • Experience with CI/CD and automation using Jenkins, DevOps tooling, and Artifactory., • Hands-on testing experience with modern Android testing frameworks, including Compose testing and Maestro, with a DevSecOps focus., • Strong understanding of Google accessibility features and accessible app development., • Good understanding of dependency management for Android projects., • Experience with observability and crash reporting using Splunk, Datadog, and Firebase Crashlytics., • Experience operating within agile sprints and fast release cadences.
