Loading, inspecting all products, verifying quantities and expiration dates, informing the appropriate Supervisor of any issues found. Working independently, according to an assigned schedule, while assessing and responding to customer needs and to updated / changing plans, keeping the transportation team manager informed. Documenting travel, time worked, breaks, etc. via electronic logging methods. Deliver and pick up produce, frozen and dry food product to member agencies, suppliers, donors and other locations as assigned. Assists in loading trailer with materials. Unloads trailer by using forklift, electric pallet jack, or hand truck. Transports loads over required route to proper destinations. Obtains shipping bills and necessary signatures. Returns completed paperwork to the warehouse office. Removes empty pallets from trailer truck and carries them to designated piling area. Performs miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, gasoline and air in tires on a daily basis. The Floor Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and overseeing service. They manage their teams through the lens of Jack’s Wife Freda culture, ensuring the employee experience and the guest experience meet company standards. They embody the Jack’s Wife Freda philosophy of “leading from the door,” building connections and fostering community outreach. This key team member actively builds engagement and coaches their hourly teams. The Floor Manager leads by example, inspiring their team and their restaurant. The Floor Manager must have a full understanding of each area of their business, managing the day-to-day of their location, collaborating with their peers, and supporting their AGM. They are responsible for growing great talent from within through training, setting a high standard for service, and mentoring new talent. This role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse processes to optimize productivity and maintain high standards of safety and quality. Duties Manage daily warehouse operations, including every warehouse department: receiving, storing, packaging, quality and delivery. Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies. Coordinate order fulfillment activities to meet customer demands efficiently. Monitor warehouse performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary. Conduct regular audits of inventory and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with other departments to align warehouse operations with overall business goals. Train, mentor, and supervise warehouse staff to enhance productivity and team performance. Track inventory levels and manage orders effectively. Prepare budgets and analyze profit-loss statements related to warehouse operations. Experience Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role is essential. Strong knowledge of logistics and inventory control practices. Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial analysis related to warehouse operations. Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment such as pallet jacks is a must. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and performance improvement.
