Job Summary: A janitor is a position that is responsible for cleaning and maintaining buildings. It involves a wide variety of tasks, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning windows, emptying trash cans, and restocking supplies. In addition to these duties, janitors may also perform minor repairs, paint walls and furniture, and maintain outdoor areas. Janitors must be able to work independently and must be detail-oriented, as they are responsible for ensuring that all areas of the building are clean and in good condition. • Reports to: Property Manager, • Position Type: Full-Time/ Non-Exempt, • Location: Westminster, CA, • Rake or sweep gravel leaves and grass trimmings off sidewalks, paths, and other areas., • Pick up debris, litter and trash including enclosed dumpster areas. Empties trash cans, Removes graffiti. May clean restrooms and laundry rooms, • Pick up, move, distribute, deliver, set up and disassemble a variety of equipment, parts, supplies, and furniture., • Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet seat covers, toilet paper, and sanitary supplies., • Assist the Maintenance Person with two-person maintenance issues., • Maintain and clean all common area marble, tile, and carpeting., • Maintain logs and records., • Clean and maintain in a sanitary condition: the pool deck, bulkhead, spas, restrooms, washrooms – Including all the fixtures., • Maintain and replace burned out light bulbs and fluorescent light bulbs., • Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations., • Maintain professional and technical knowledge., • One year of performing Janitorial or relevant experience, • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent, • Ability to follow detailed oral/written instructions., • Communicate effectively with co-workers and the public. Moderate travel for this position requires you to have reliable transportation. Travel requirements for this position may change at any time.
