Job Description Job Title: Laboratory Technician Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Laboratory Technician to support both laboratory and warehouse operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this role, you will act as a versatile “utility player,” contributing to plasma processing, equipment operation, inventory management, and packaging support. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working on a smaller team, is comfortable wearing multiple hats, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities • Support daily laboratory operations, including plasma processing, sampling, and mini-pooling activities., • Operate laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, pumps, and diafiltration skids, ensuring safe and efficient use., • Assist with routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment to maintain reliable performance., • Support IVD-related production activities and assist with automated filling processes., • Handle and process biological samples following established procedures and quality standards., • Perform wet chemistry techniques, including titrations and other analytical chemistry procedures, as required., • Conduct quality control testing and inspections to verify product and process compliance., • Accurately pipette and handle samples to support analytical and diagnostic testing activities., • Follow and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complete all required training and documentation sign-offs., • Work in cold storage and freezer environments as needed to retrieve, organize, and store materials safely., • Provide warehouse support, including inventory management, material handling, and packaging of materials or products., • Assist with inventory tracking, labeling, and documentation to maintain accurate stock levels., • Collaborate cross-functionally with laboratory and warehouse teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in both laboratory and warehouse spaces., • Adapt to changing priorities and step into different tasks or functions as operational needs arise. Essential Skills • Science experience through academic study or professional experience., • Experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably with exposure to chemistry, biology, microbiology, or analytical chemistry., • Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques such as wet chemistry, titration, pipetting, and sample handling., • Familiarity with quality control and quality assurance practices, including QC testing and inspection., • Ability to operate laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, pumps, and diafiltration skids., • Experience supporting IVD-related production activities or similar diagnostic processes., • Comfort working with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and following regulated processes., • Experience with inventory management and packaging processes in a lab or warehouse setting., • Strong adaptability and willingness to take on a mix of lab work and other operational responsibilities., • Ability to work effectively in a small team or startup-like environment with exposure to multiple functions., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality and safety standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in a small company or startup environment with cross-functional responsibilities., • Experience in chemistry, biology, microbiology, analytical chemistry, or related scientific disciplines., • Exposure to IVD (in vitro diagnostics) processes and diagnostic testing workflows., • Familiarity with quality control and quality assurance systems in a laboratory or production setting., • Comfort working in environments that include both laboratory and warehouse operations., • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse operational teams., • Proactive mindset and willingness to support wherever needed to ensure smooth operations. Work Environment This role operates within a dynamic, fast-paced setting that combines both laboratory and warehouse environments. You will work primarily on a day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position involves regular work in laboratory spaces with equipment such as centrifuges, pumps, and diafiltration skids, as well as time spent in cold storage and freezer areas to retrieve and store materials. You will also support warehouse operations, including inventory management, material handling, and packaging activities. The environment emphasizes adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality control practices, and safe handling of materials. You will work closely with a smaller, collaborative team where flexibility, clear communication, and a willingness to take on varied tasks are highly valued. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
