This is a full-time, on-site role for an Associate Attorney at Zucker & Regev, located in Brooklyn, NY. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling medical malpractice and personal injury cases, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, taking depositions, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court. The role requires strong litigation skills, a deep understanding of medical and legal issues, and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for our clients.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an attorney with housing court or other relevant experience who is admitted to the New York State Bar or can be admitted through reciprocity. The candidate will possess a demonstrable background in public interest work, and a commitment to the mission of Queens Defenders. We are seeking individuals with strong self-motivation, and excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to lead a team of attorneys, social workers, paralegals, and housing advocates and navigators. The supervising attorney will also be tasked with leading a team of attorneys, social workers, paralegals, and housing advocates and navigators by effectively communicating expectations, goals, and the QD way while fostering an open environment that facilitates communication. A commitment to producing high-quality work in a timely manner is essential. Familiarity with relevant housing court practice is preferred. Assist with case strategy and preparation, conducting legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and PACER Ensure accuracy and precision by conducting cite-checking, Bluebooking, and proofreading briefs, complaints, and other documents Manage deadlines and case materials, including exhibits and court filings Independently manage assigned cases Assist in retrieving production documents and rules/regulations Prepare for depositions by preparing exhibits, scheduling, booking, and coordinating with outside counsel and vendors Perform electronic filings with the court We are seeking candidates with 4+ years of complex litigation experience in a law firm setting. CAC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Vice President of Finance to manage our day-to-day financial operations and the receipt and distribution of class action funds to our corporate clients. The ideal candidate possesses a solid foundation in accounting and financial principles and a passion for driving financial efficiency and accuracy. This role will provide accounting and financial leadership, financial asset protection and support strategic and investment operating initiatives.
